The Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Libas successfully conducted its 5th Regular Meeting on May 24, 2026, at the Barangay Session Hall, bringing together the council to discuss important programs and initiatives for the youth and the community.

The meeting focused on the conduct of a community Clean-Up Drive aimed at promoting environmental awareness, cleanliness, and volunteerism among the youth. Plans for the upcoming Katipunan ng Kabataan (KK) Assembly were also discussed to ensure active youth participation and provide updates on SK accomplishments and future projects.

In addition, the council initiated the planning of a Youth Seminar that will equip young people with valuable knowledge, skills, and opportunities for personal growth and leadership development. Other matters concerning youth welfare and community development were likewise tackled during the meeting.

Through continuous planning and collaboration, SK Libas remains committed to implementing meaningful programs that empower the youth, strengthen community involvement, and contribute to the progress of Barangay Libas.

The Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Libas successfully conducted its 4th Regular Meeting last April 26, 2026, bringing together the council to discuss and evaluate ongoing youth programs and prepare for upcoming activities.

During the meeting, the council reviewed and evaluated the recently concluded SK activities conducted during the Barangay Anniversary Celebration, identifying strengths and areas for improvement to ensure better implementation of future programs. Discussions also focused on upcoming SK activity plans aimed at promoting youth participation, leadership, and community engagement.

In preparation for a wider youth consultation and involvement, the council also started the planning for the upcoming Katipunan ng Kabataan (KK) Assembly, which will serve as a platform to present accomplishments, discuss future initiatives, and gather valuable insights from the youth sector. Other matters concerning the welfare and development of the youth were likewise discussed.

The SK Libas remains dedicated to creating meaningful opportunities for the youth through effective planning, active participation, and responsive leadership for a stronger and more empowered community.

The Uswag Kabataan: Skills Training on Meat Processing for Sustainable Livelihood was successfully conducted last May 15, 2026 at the ATI-RTC XII.

This meaningful activity became possible through the partnership of the SK Libas and the 4H Club, with the goal of empowering the youth through economic and livelihood development.

May this training inspire our young people to become more skilled, productive, and ready to create sustainable opportunities for themselves and for the community.

The Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Libas successfully extended financial support to the 31 Alternative Learning System (ALS) Learners who took the A&E Examination last March 29, 2026 at Polomolok Central Elementary School. This initiative aims to help lessen the financial burden of the learners and encourage them to continue pursuing education despite lifeโ€™s challenges. Through this support, the SK Libas hopes to inspire more out-of-school youth and adults to continue learning and strive for a brighter future through education.

The program reflects the commitment of SK Libas in promoting accessible education and empowering the youth and community through meaningful assistance. Education opens opportunities, builds confidence, and creates a pathway toward personal growth and better livelihood in the future.

Special thanks to the Barangay Local Government Unit of Libas headed by Nelia L. Delos Reyes for providing transportation assistance to the learners, ensuring their safe and convenient travel during the examination day.
