𝐈𝐂𝐘𝐌𝐈 | The Coast Guard Sub-Station Tandag (CGSS TANDAG) personnel together with Coast Guard Sub-Station Lanuza (CGSS LANUZA), Coast Guard Sub-Station Barobo (CGSS BAROBO) personnel and other various Government Agencies of Tandag actively rendering security and public assistance for the Sangkaan Festival 2026 at the Tandag City Boulevard from 05-10 September 2026.

To ensure order, safety, and a smooth celebration for the thousands of attendees and tourists. Our Coast Guard personnel are deployed to SECURE COASTAL AREAS (If someone accidentally falls into the water or a maritime incident occurs), provide MARITIME SECURITY (To ensure they can deliver an immediate emergency response the exact second something goes wrong on the water they can immediately pull injured or distressed individuals out of the water and provide on-the-spot medical stabilization or transport them swiftly to the nearest hospital), and Security Assistance to the public (To maintain Public Order, protect vulnerable individuals, and ensure that everyone can participate safely and comfortably such as:

*FIRST AID and MEDICAL SUPPORT
*PUBLIC INFORMATION and GUIDANCE
*BUILDING TRUST and COMMUNITY RELATIONS)

LOOK: The Coast Guard Sub-Station Tandag personnel participated the 3rd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED).

As part of our continuous commitment to strengthening disaster preparedness and resilience, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) stands united with the entire nation for today's earthquake drill this 10 September 2026, exactly at 2:00 PM.

We strongly encourage all our personnel across Coast Guard Districts, Stations, and Sub-Stations, as well as the general public, to participate and practice the proper procedures in the event of a strong ground shaking:

Personnel of the Coast Guard Sub-Station Tandag (CGSS Tandag) participated in the Provincial inter-agency information and educational campaign on the peace and order, illegal drugs, public safety and NSTP Orientation for Academic Year 2026–2027 held at the Saint Theresa College (STC) Diamond Hall, Brgy. Bongtud, Tandag City, Surigao del Sur.

The participation of CGSS Tandag reflects the Philippine Coast Guard’s continued commitment to strengthening collaboration with the academe and partner agencies in promoting discipline, civic responsibility, leadership, patriotism, and a culture of service among the youth.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | CGSS TANDAG JOINS NSTP ORIENTATION A.Y. 2026–2027

The Coast Guard Sub-Station Tandag (CGSS Tandag) personnel, together with various National and Local Government Agencies, actively participated in the NSTP Orientation for Academic Year 2026–2027 held at the NEMSU CET Building, Brgy. Rosario, Tandag City, Surigao del Sur.

The activity served as an avenue to orient and engage students on the importance of the National Service Training Program (NSTP), highlighting the vital role of discipline, civic responsibility, community involvement, public service, and nation-building.

The participation of CGSS Tandag further strengthened the partnership between the Philippine Coast Guard, the academe, and other government agencies in empowering the youth to become responsible, disciplined, and service-oriented citizens.

APPREHENSION FOR ILLEGAL FISHING USING COMPRESSOR (BOSO)

📍TANDAG CITY, SURIGAO DEL SUR

Personnel of CGSS Tandag, in coordination with DA-BFAR Tandag, apprehended several individuals allegedly engaged in illegal fishing using a COMPRESSOR (BOSO) within the vicinity waters of Tandag City, Surigao del Sur.

The apprehension was conducted pursuant to Tandag City Ordinance No. 21, Series of 2020, Article XII, Section 105, prohibiting the use of COMPRESSOR/BOSO as an aid in fishing.

The operation is part of the Philippine Coast Guard’s maritime law enforcement and marine environmental protection functions, including the enforcement of applicable laws and regulations against illegal activities in Philippine waters, in coordination with concerned government agencies.

The apprehended individuals and confiscated equipment were properly documented and turned over to the City Agricultures office of Tandag for investigation and further disposition.

LOOK: The Coast Guard Sub-Station Tandag, together with Tandag City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) and the seafaring community, proudly takes part in today’s Fluvial Parade 15 July 2026, a time‑honored tradition paying tribute to our patron saints, our seas, and the livelihood of every Filipino who relies on our waters.

Our personnel stand ready to ensure safe, secure, and orderly movement throughout the route, providing maritime safety coverage, navigation assistance, and continuous monitoring to safeguard all participants and spectators.

This activity also highlights our shared commitment to responsible stewardship of our marine environment, preservation of local maritime traditions, and strengthening of coordination among agencies in protecting our coastal communities.

We remain true to our mandate: “Saving Lives, Securing the Seas.” 🚤💙

JOINED OPERATION CONDUCTING COASTAL MONITORING IN OBSERVANCE OF THE FEAST OF SAN JUAN THE BAPTIST

LOOK: The Coast Guard Sub-Station Tandag (CGSS TANDAG) personnel together with Tandag City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) personnel and Barangay Officials, conducted Foot/Coastal Security Patrol Operation today, 24 June 2026 along the shoreline of beach resorts covered within Area Of Responsibility (AOR) of Tandag City.

The deployment aims to ensure public safety, maintain coastal security, assess coastal condition, support emergency preparedness and to strengthen security measures.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊:The Coast Guard Sub-Station Tandag (CGSS TANDAG) actively participated in the 2nd Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) as part of its commitment to disaster preparedness and safety awareness.

Personnel of CGSS TANDAG joined the nationwide exercise by observing proper earthquake response procedures, including the "Duck, Cover, and Hold" technique and orderly evacuation to designated safe areas.

The activity aimed to enhance the readiness of all personnel in responding to earthquake emergencies and strengthen the culture of preparedness within the organization.

CGSS TANDAG remains committed to supporting national disaster risk reduction initiatives and ensuring the safety and well-being of its personnel.
