LOOK: The Coast Guard Sub-Station Tandag, together with Tandag City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) and the seafaring community, proudly takes part in today’s Fluvial Parade 15 July 2026, a time‑honored tradition paying tribute to our patron saints, our seas, and the livelihood of every Filipino who relies on our waters.

Our personnel stand ready to ensure safe, secure, and orderly movement throughout the route, providing maritime safety coverage, navigation assistance, and continuous monitoring to safeguard all participants and spectators.

This activity also highlights our shared commitment to responsible stewardship of our marine environment, preservation of local maritime traditions, and strengthening of coordination among agencies in protecting our coastal communities.

JOINED OPERATION CONDUCTING COASTAL MONITORING IN OBSERVANCE OF THE FEAST OF SAN JUAN THE BAPTIST

LOOK: The Coast Guard Sub-Station Tandag (CGSS TANDAG) personnel together with Tandag City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) personnel and Barangay Officials, conducted Foot/Coastal Security Patrol Operation today, 24 June 2026 along the shoreline of beach resorts covered within Area Of Responsibility (AOR) of Tandag City.

The deployment aims to ensure public safety, maintain coastal security, assess coastal condition, support emergency preparedness and to strengthen security measures.

π‹πŽπŽπŠ:The Coast Guard Sub-Station Tandag (CGSS TANDAG) actively participated in the 2nd Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) as part of its commitment to disaster preparedness and safety awareness.

Personnel of CGSS TANDAG joined the nationwide exercise by observing proper earthquake response procedures, including the "Duck, Cover, and Hold" technique and orderly evacuation to designated safe areas.

The activity aimed to enhance the readiness of all personnel in responding to earthquake emergencies and strengthen the culture of preparedness within the organization.

CGSS TANDAG remains committed to supporting national disaster risk reduction initiatives and ensuring the safety and well-being of its personnel.

The Coast Guard Sub-Station Tandag Conduct Baywatch Patrol for Holy Week and SUMVAC 2026

04 April 2026 | In observance of Holy Week and SUMVAC 2026, the Coast Guard Sub-Station Tandag, in the capable hands of Acting Sub-Station Commander ENS Ralph P BolaΓ±o PCG, the personnel of Sub-Station together with Lifeguard on Duty conducted Baywatch Patrols in connection with OPLAN BIYAHENG AYOS: Semana Santa and Summer Vacation (SUMVAC) 2026.

This initiative aims to ensure the safety and security of beachgoers along the shoreline and vicinity waters off Tandag City Mahayag Beach, Brgy. Buenavista, Tandag City, Surigao del Sur.

Johnny T. Pimentel, held at the OFFICE OF THE GOVERNER, Provincial Hall Building, Brgy. Telaje Tandag City Surigao Del Sur today, 02 March 2026.

The visit aimed to strengthen inter-agency collaboration in support of the upcoming activities that align with maritime safety, maritime security, and maritime law enforcement for community engagement, and local development efforts.

πŸ“’ WORK SUSPENSION ADVISORY!

Mayor Roxanne Pimentel has ordered the SUSPENSION OF WORK in both government offices and private offices/establishments within the territorial jurisdiction of Tandag City, effective today, February 05, 2026, until further notice.

This is due to the potential hazards brought by Tropical Storm β€œBasyang,” including heavy rainfall and the issuance of Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2 over Surigao del Sur, including Tandag City.

Offices and personnel involved in disaster response, emergency, and essential services are exempted.
Heads of offices and agencies are directed to ensure that skeletal emergency teams are maintained, where necessary, to carry out critical and disaster-related operations.

The public is advised to stay safe, remain vigilant, and continuously monitor official weather updates.
