The External Communication Training held on June 02–03, 2026, organized by the Philippine Red Cross Headquarters through the IHL Office in partnership with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), brought together PRC staff and volunteers from the Surigao del Sur Chapter. The two-day training enhanced participants' communication skills and strengthened their understanding of humanitarian values, helping them become effective Red Cross communicators in serving communities and promoting the Red Cross mission.

May 30, 2026 - Saturday

Day 3 of our Red Cross Junior First Aider Training was filled with courage, learning, emotions, and proud moments as our young trainees faced their final challenge which is the Real-Life Simulation Exercise. ❤️⛑️🚑

For the past three days, these young first aiders learned valuable life-saving skills, and today, they bravely applied everything they learned in realistic emergency scenarios. From CPR, wound dressing, patient transfer and mobilization, recovery position, emergency response, and handling choking, convulsions, and seizures. Our little heroes demonstrated not only knowledge and skills, but also compassion, teamwork, confidence, and the willingness to help others in times of need.

The graduation ceremony became even more special as parents and guardians joined us in celebrating the achievements of their children. Their smiles, cheers, and proud moments reminded us that every child has the power to make a difference when guided with the right values and training. ❤️

Day 2 of our Red Cross Junior First Aider Training was another exciting, fun-filled, and unforgettable learning experience! ❤️⛑️

Our Junior First Aiders had an educational tour at the Red Cross Blood Bank where they discovered how blood donation works and even had a chance to explore and observe through a microscope! Making learning both exciting and inspiring! 🩸🔬

The young lifesavers also actively participated in CPR demonstrations with partners. They also enjoyed hands-on activities on patient transfer and mobilization along with many other exciting life-saving skills that boosted their confidence, teamwork, and readiness to help others in times of emergency.

Indeed, Day 2 was filled with smiles, laughter, teamwork, and valuable lessons. Our junior first aiders surely enjoyed every moment while learning how to become little heroes in their own ways! 💪✨

Day 1 of our Red Cross Junior First Aider Training was truly a fun-filled and meaningful experience! ❤️⛑️

Our amazing Junior First Aiders learned essential basic life skills, identified the contents of a first aid kit, practiced proper wound dressing, log roll technique, recovery position, and how to call emergency numbers during emergencies. They also gained knowledge on responding to common emergencies such as choking, convulsions, and seizures.

Beyond the lessons, the day was filled with teamwork, confidence building, laughter, and excitement as our young heroes took their first steps in becoming lifesavers in their own simple ways.

We are so proud of their eagerness to learn and help others! 💪
