The 2026 Annual Anti-Rabies Vaccination Project
“Aso’t Pusa Ko, Protektado’t Ligtas Tayo” was conducted by Rudyville Neighborhood Association, Mayagay 2, Cuyambay, Tanay, Rizal.
This was hosted by Nelfe’s Farm on April 28, 2026
in collaboration with LGU Tanay through the Office of the Municipal Agriculturist / Department of Agriculture.
Rabies remains a fatal but preventable public health concern in the Philippines. In upland communities like Brgy. Cuyambay, access to free veterinary services is limited, putting both pets and residents at risk.
This project aimed to:
1.Eliminate rabies transmission by achieving at least 80% vaccination coverage of dogs and cats in Mayagay 2 and nearby sitios of Cuyambay, in line with DOH and DA’s Rabies-Free Philippines 2030 campaign.
2. Protect public health by reducing the risk of rabies exposure to residents, especially children who are most vulnerable to animal bites.
3. Promote responsible pet ownership through free vaccination, deworming, and information drives on pet care, leashing, and registration with the barangay.
4. Strengthen community partnership between Rudyville Neighborhood Association, LGU Tanay, and private stakeholders like Nelfe’s Farm to deliver basic veterinary services at the grassroots level.
5. Support local tourism and agri-farm areas by ensuring that Tanay’s farm destinations, including Nelfe’s Farm, other Staycation Facilities and Essential Businesses in the area remain safe and rabies-free for visitors and workers.
A million thanks to LGU Tanay and DA Team for your support and incredible work 🫶🙋♀️🤩
