In Scouting, respect is reflected in the choices we make every day.
It may seem like simple actions, but we often realize that these โsimple thingsโ are not actually simple at all. It is offering your seat to someone who needs it more. Greeting others with sincerity instead of simply passing by. Speaking with respect even in ordinary conversations. Being mindful of how your actions may affect the people around you.
Being courteous is not limited by age, gender, race, or status. It is not something that should be expected only from others while not being practiced in return. It is not forced, and it should not feel like an obligation placed on one side only.
A challenge for you, Scout: How can we continue building a culture of courtesy in our community? ๐๐๐
