In celebration of Arbor Day, The San Roque Women’s Club in Tanauan, Leyte, an affiliate of the Tanauan Woman’s Club, the Tanauan Federation of Women’s Clubs and the National Federation of Women’s Clubs of the Philippines, proudly planted 25 indigenous tree seedlings across Brgy. San Roque. 🌱🍃

Congratulations, Pres. Liza E. Diongzon and the other officers and members!

A heartfelt thank you to DENR Region 8 for providing the tree seedlings and supporting our green initiative. Together, we grow a healthier, greener future. 🪴💚

Arbor Day in the Philippines has been institutionalized to be observed every June 25 throughout the nation by planting trees and ornamental plants and other forms of relevant activities. The necessity to promote a healthier ecosystem for the people through the rehabilitation and re-greening of the environment was stressed in Proclamation No. 643 that amended Proclamation No. 396, s. 2003. Proclamation No. 396 enjoined the “active participation of all government agencies, including government-owned and controlled corporations, private sector, schools, civil society groups and the citizenry in tree planting activity.”

Last April 21–22, the Tanauan Women’s Club gathered for a meaningful and joy-filled Team Building activity at Sabin Resort, Ormoc City. It was more than just a getaway—it was a celebration of the strength, resilience, and unity of women who continue to uplift one another in service to our community. From team games to heart-to-heart conversations, laughter echoed and bonds were strengthened. These two days reminded us that when women come together with shared purpose and passion, we create powerful ripples of change—not just in our organization, but throughout our town.A big thank you to everyone who made this event successful, and to each member who brought her energy, warmth, and spirit. Here's to more shared journeys, empowered voices, and meaningful connections. 💖
