LGU Tampakan Orients New Batch of Aspiring Trainees

TAMPAKAN, South Cotabato — The LGU Tampakan Skills Training Center oriented 38 aspiring trainees for Slaughtering Operations–Swine NC II and Plumbing NC II on April 29, 2026, at the Municipal Conference Hall.

Facilitated by the Project Management Office, the session covered training guidelines and program expectations. The training will officially begin in the second week of May 2026, with Plumbing NC II to be held at the LGU Tampakan Skills Training Center and Slaughtering Operations–Swine NC II at the Municipal Sanitary Slaughterhouse.

The initiative aims to enhance employability and expand livelihood opportunities for Tampakeños.

LGU Tampakan Trainees Achieve 100% Passing Rate in Slaughtering Operations (Swine) NC II Assessment

TAMPAKAN, South Cotabato — The LGU Tampakan Skills Training Center has recorded another milestone after its trainee-graduates achieved a 100% passing rate in the Slaughtering Operations (Swine) NC II National Competency Assessment conducted by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).

A total of 18 assesses successfully met the required competency standards, demonstrating both technical proficiency and composure under pressure during the rigorous evaluation. The assessment was conducted from 9:00 PM on April 27 until 7:00 AM on April 28, 2026, at the Municipal Sanitary Slaughterhouse, which served as the official assessment venue.

Present during the conduct of the assessment were TESDA Representative Mr. Rene Merosa, Assessment Center Manager Designate Ms. Judy Ann Dagangon, and TESDA-accredited Competency Assessor Mr. Rowell Distura, who ensured that all procedures adhered to national competency standards.

With their successful certification, the graduates are now officially recognized as skilled slaughtermen and butchers, equipped with industry-standard competencies that enhance their employability and readiness for livelihood opportunities.

The LGU Tampakan Skills Training Center continues to uphold its commitment to delivering quality technical-vocational education, empowering local residents through skills development and contributing to workforce competitiveness in the region.

LGU TAMPAKAN SKILLS TRAINING CENTER ACHIEVES 100% PASSING RATE IN PLUMBING NC II NATIONAL COMPETENCY ASSESSMENT

TAMPAKAN, South Cotabato — The LGU Tampakan Skills Training Center proudly announces a remarkable achievement as all fifteen (15) TVET graduating students successfully passed the National Competency Assessment in Plumbing NC II, garnering a 100% passing rate.

The competency assessment was conducted on March 31 and April 1, 2026, affirming the center’s commitment to delivering quality technical-vocational education and skills development aligned with national standards. The assessment was administered under the supervision of Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, ensuring credibility and adherence to industry-based competencies.

The activity was graced by TESDA Representative Rene Merosa and Assessment Center Manager Rowell Distura, whose presence underscored the importance of maintaining excellence in assessment delivery.

The candidates were rigorously evaluated by Michelle B. Bitalas, an accredited Competency Assessor in Plumbing NC II, who ensured that all graduates met the required standards of proficiency in the field.

This outstanding accomplishment reflects the dedication of the trainees, the competence of the trainers, and the strong support of the local government headed by Mayor Leonard Escobillo in advancing technical education. It also highlights the center’s continuous efforts to produce globally competitive and highly skilled individuals ready to contribute to the workforce and community development.

Skilled beauticians and hairdressers from the LGU Tampakan Skills Training Center successfully rendered free beauty care and hair makeover services to the residents of Barangay Pulabato in celebration of Women’s Empowerment Month. The activity was conducted in partnership with RMFB XII – 1205th Maneuver Company Astron Rmfb Xii on March 20, 2026.

A total of 130 individuals benefited from the outreach program, which included manicure, pedicure, and haircutting services.
