Karong Adlawa nagpahigayon ug lain nasab na Clean Up Drive ang UNITED 2 HEARTS ug PAGATPATAN URBAN SECTORS kauban ang COM/OXFAM.

Kini nagpaila sa ilang tinguha sa paghinlo ug pag panindot sa atong Mananga River. Matud pa nila: Kung Di Karon? Kanus-a?, Kung Dili kami? Kinsa?

Ang kani na association usa sa dakong naigo sa Bagyong Tino kani-adtong ni aging tuig. Pero ang Ka-Dasig, Panagbisog, ug Malaumon na panan-aw sa kinabuhi kay nag pabilin gihapon kanila. Daghan silag nabuhat.

Tonight, DUPCA gathered not just for an emergency meeting, but for a moment of unity and purpose. Each member came carrying different colors different voices, perspectives, and experiences but together, we formed a rainbow. And like a rainbow after the storm, it reminds us that hope is always present, even in the most uncertain times.

In the face of challenges, we chose to listen, to collaborate, and to stand side by side. Every concern raised, every idea shared, and every solution proposed became part of a bigger picture, one that reflects resilience, solidarity, and a renewed sense of direction for our community.

A rainbow does not appear without the rain, and tonight’s meeting is proof that even through difficulties, we can create something meaningful and inspiring. DUPCA remains committed to turning struggles into strength and setbacks into stepping stones.

DUPCA joins the Simultaneous Clean-Up Drive in Brgy. Dumlog Pagatapatan, beside the Mananga River

This may not be the usual spot, far from the main street and often unnoticed, but it is one of the most crucial areas for our environment. Real impact happens not only where people can see, but where change is truly needed.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, took action, and proved that small efforts in quiet places can create meaningful change. Together, we are not just cleaning communities we are protecting our future.

𝘿𝙐𝙋𝘾𝘼 𝙀𝙈𝙀𝙍𝙂𝙀𝙉𝘾𝙔 𝙈𝙀𝙀𝙏𝙄𝙉𝙂

Yesterday, DUPCA held an emergency meeting to discuss updates on the livelihood programs funded by EcoWeb and the relocation plans for families living in areas prone to calamities.

Present during the meeting were the Presidents or representatives of each Urban Poor Association in Brgy. Dumlog. Also in attendance were 𝙃𝙊𝙉. 𝙍𝙄𝘾𝙃𝘼𝙍𝘿 𝘽𝘼𝙍𝘿𝙄𝙇𝘼𝙎, Chairperson of the Urban Poor Committee, and Asst. Chairperson 𝙃𝙊𝙉. 𝘿𝙀𝙉𝙉𝙄𝙎 𝘽𝘼𝙎𝙎𝙄𝙇𝙊𝙏𝙀.

Also present were 𝙈𝙎. 𝘼𝙍𝘾𝙃𝙄𝙏𝘼 𝙎𝘼𝙇𝘼, Dumlog Focal Person for the Urban Poor Sector; representatives from Pagtambayayon Foundation Inc., headed by Ma’am Connie Gabriel Abarratigue and lastly, 𝙈𝙍. 𝙆𝙃𝘼𝙍𝙇𝙊 𝘽. 𝙋𝘼𝙉𝙏𝙐𝘼𝙉.

The meeting served as an important step in strengthening coordination and ensuring that programs and relocation efforts will effectively support the needs of the urban poor community.
