We are saddened by the recent shooting incident at a high school in Zamboanga. We grieve not only the lives that were lost, but also the brokenness we see in a generation where lives are broken, values are deteriorating, and many young people are spiritually lost and searching for meaning, hope, and direction.

As PSALMistas, this tragedy reminds us why we remain committed to campus missions. We do not claim to have all the answers to the violence and struggles faced by students today, but we know the One who is their true hope, peace, and life: Jesus.

Many young people are carrying battles that may not always be seen. Behind the smiles and achievements are hearts searching for acceptance, purpose, hope, and someone who will listen.

Jesus came “to seek and to save the lost” (Luke 19:10). This is why we go to the campuses. Every student matters to God, and the Gospel brings hope to the broken, truth to those searching for direction, and life to those who are spiritually lost.

May this tragedy move us not only to mourn, but also to pray, reach out, and disciple. May God continue to use PSALM to shine the light of Christ on our campuses and point this generation to Jesus.

May we be the light that leads the lost to the One who came to seek and save them.

Join us for the International Gospel Outbreak on August 17–22, 2026! Let’s unite in passion and purpose as we take the Gospel to those who need to hear it.

And as we celebrate this week of sharing the Gospel, join us for the culmination via Zoom on August 22, 2026, at 7:00 PM.

Today we celebrate PSALM’s 57th Anniversary!

‎For 57 years, God has been faithful to the Philippine Student Alliance Lay Movement, Inc. As we look back, we remember His grace, His provision, and His faithfulness in raising generations of students, campus missionaries, lay, and ministry partners who have committed their lives to the Great Commission.
‎
‎Our anniversary theme, IN HIS NAME, reminds us that everything we do is to be done in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
‎
‎“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” (Colossians 3:17)
‎
‎Today we thank God for every life transformed, every campus and marketplace reached, every disciple made, and every partner who has stood with the ministry through the years.
‎
May we continue to proclaim Christ boldly and live faithfully IN HIS NAME.
