Entrepreneurs, Be Ready for the Crisis Ahead.

SUPER EL NIÑO 2026–2027: ARE WE READY?

A potentially historic El Niño is developing in the Pacific, with international forecasters warning that it could become one of the strongest events in modern records.

PAGASA says El Niño is already present and has a 97% probability of persisting into the first half of 2027, while its latest outlook favors a very strong El Niño later in 2026.

The potential consequences are enormous:
🌾 Agriculture: drought, crop losses and higher food prices
💧 Water: declining reservoirs and water shortages
🔥 Heat: more extreme temperatures and wildfire risk
🌧️ Weather: shifts between severe drought and extreme rainfall
🏥 Health: greater risks from heat, water and food insecurity

📈 Economy: disruptions to agriculture, energy, supply chains and commodities
For the Philippines, PAGASA warns that below-normal rainfall and drought conditions could affect vulnerable areas, particularly as El Niño strengthens. Central Visayas is among the areas being watched closely.

The warning is no longer simply about weather. It is about food security, water security, livelihoods and economic resilience.

ARE WE READY?

Preparation must begin before the crisis—not when the reservoirs are empty and the crops are already failing.

Ang Gagmay nga Negosyante: I.T. Expert, Accountant, Marketer, ug Tanan

Ang gagmay nga negosyante mahimong I.T. Expert — iya tanan.

Emosyonal nga kabug-at.
Makadungog ka og mga kritisismo ug rejection.

“Ngano man gud ni-ENTER ka ani?”

Usahay, ang kapakyasan mura og personal nga kapakyasan. Bug-at ang responsibilidad kay dili lang among kaugalingon ang among gihuna-hunaan—apil ang among mga empleyado, customers, suppliers, partners, ug pamilya.
Kamingaw.

Ang entrepreneurial journey usahay hilom ug makamingaw. Daghang butang nga among gidala nga lisod ipasabot sa uban.

Kasagaran, among kaugalingong savings ang among gamiton sa pagsugod. Among gi-risk ang among seguridad ug ang pinansyal nga kalig-on sa pamilya tungod sa pagtuo nga adunay mas dako nga oportunidad sa unahan.

Burnout is real.

Sama sa 3-in-1 nga kape—trabaho, pagbiyahe, bakasyon, ug pagkat-on, mahimo namong i-harmonize sa among kinabuhi.

Dili man kinahanglan nga bulagon namo ang tanan. Ang importante, makat-on kami unsaon pagpuyo, pagtrabaho, pagkat-on, ug pag-enjoy sa journey nga adunay harmony.

Identity ug self-worth.

Adunay mga panahon nga mangutana kami sa among kaugalingon:

“Sakto ba ni among gibuhat?”
“Kaya pa ba namo?”
“Worth it pa ba ni tanan?”

Reputasyon ug social life.

Usahay kinahanglan namong pilion tali sa social obligations ug sa panginahanglan sa negosyo. Dili tanan imbitasyon among maatiman. Dili tanan kalihokan among maapilan.

Knowledge.
Experience.
Vision.
Wisdom.
Skills.

Padayon Lang

Dili nato malikayan ang sakripisyo. Apan mahimo nato kining sabton, dawaton, ug himoon nga bahin sa atong pagtubo.

Ang dalan sa entrepreneurship lisod.
Oo, kapoy.
Oo, usahay mingaw.
Oo, adunay luha, rejection, utang, pressure, ug mga panahon nga gusto na kami mohunong.

Apan adunay usab growth, fulfillment, learning, friendship, opportunities, ug purpose.
Sa tanan namong kakapoy, luha, ug sakripisyo, dili namo ilisan ang among entrepreneurial journey.

Kay kining journey maoy nakaporma kanamo nga mahimong mas lig-on, mas maalamon, mas mapailubon, ug mas andam sa kinabuhi.

Ginoo, daghang salamat sa tanang leksyon nga Imong gihatag.

Ug sa tanan nga nagsugod og gamay nga negosyo, nga naglisod karon, nga nangutang, nga gikapoy, nga gi-reject, ug hapit na mosurrender:

Padayon lang.

Lalaban tayo! 💪✨

Growth means jobs, income, investments, productivity ug opportunities.

Ang atong kinahanglan mao ang policy certainty, mas dagkong investments, productivity, good governance ug mas paspas nga ex*****on.

SONA 2026: The Business Takeaways That Matter

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s 2026 State of the Nation Address (SONA) was more than a report on government accomplishments—it outlined a business agenda aimed at lowering costs, increasing investments, strengthening trade, and creating more opportunities for Filipino workers and entrepreneurs.

1. Higher Income Tax Exemption
The President urged Congress to expand the income tax exemption to include workers earning up to ₱350,000 annually, giving millions of Filipinos higher take-home pay and boosting consumer spending.

2. Tax Relief for Micro-Entrepreneurs
Marcos announced a one-time tax abatement for qualified micro-entrepreneurs through the BIR to help small businesses recover and encourage compliance.

3. Lower Electricity Costs
The President ordered power distributors to refund overcharges, allow installment payments for affected consumers, and pushed for reforms to reduce the cost of electricity.

4. The Sariling Kuryente Act
Marcos urged Congress to pass the Sariling Kuryente Act, making solar panels and battery storage more accessible to households and businesses to help reduce long-term electricity costs.

5. Remove System Loss Charges
He also called for amendments to the EPIRA law to stop passing system loss charges to consumers, arguing that customers should not pay for distribution inefficiencies.

6. Trade Agreements and Global Market Access
The President highlighted the Philippines' growing global economic presence, noting that the country now has 23 free trade agreements either in force or under negotiation. These agreements are expected to expand exports, attract investments, and create more jobs.

7. More Investments, More Jobs
Marcos reported that the country continues to attract significant local and foreign investments, supporting manufacturing, infrastructure, tourism, and other job-generating industries.

8. Digitalization and Ease of Doing Business
The administration reaffirmed its commitment to digital government services, simplifying business registration, permits, and public transactions to make it easier to operate a business.

9. Food Security and Agriculture
The President emphasized strengthening agriculture through continued support for farmers and fisherfolk, expansion of KADIWA outlets, and programs to improve food production and stabilize prices.

10. Employment and Livelihood
Government livelihood and employment programs, including support for workers, MSMEs, and skills development, remain a priority to create sustainable jobs and stimulate economic activity.

Apan dili Automatic Exemption. Mo apply ka sa DTI For BMBE Certificate ug BIR for Income Tax Exemption with corresponding documents like Financial Statement
