𝐌𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐯𝐞, 𝐙𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐨𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚 𝐝𝐞𝐥 𝐒𝐮𝐫, 𝟐𝟓 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 -In a significant effort to enhance industrial peace, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Region 9, under the leadership of Regional Director Albert E. Gutib, alongside the Municipality of Molave, successfully organized the quarterly meeting of the Molave Municipal Tripartite Industrial Peace Council (TIPC). This gathering was marked by the presence of 52 participants from various sectors including Construction, Hospitality, Wholesale & Retail, Healthcare, Education, Finance, Logistics, and Agribusiness, underscoring the broad spectrum of local industries invested in fostering labor harmony.

DOLE Provincial Head Ms. Miraflor J. Casanes opened the session by discussing the rationale and objectives of the activity as well as the status of the previous council agreements, encouraging active dialogue on industry-specific challenges.

The meeting featured an insightful session by Ms. Garyl B. Somalillo-Lumasay, Revenue Officer II and Mr. James Robert M. Alvarez, Revenue Officer III,both from the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), who presented the tax exemptions for Barangay Micro Business Enterprises, and addressing numerous queries on tax compliance including tax benefits for establishments employing PWDs.

Government agencies including the Social Security System, PhilHealth, TESDA, DOST, and DTI, acted as panelists during the open forum by addressing concerns of the different industries.

The MTIPC vice chairpersons for labor and management, Ms. Raizza T. Arcillas and Mr. Jasper A. Baluyos, acted as co- facilitator during the open forum and shared insights on different topics and concerns on Konsulta Program of PhilHealth.

The TIPC meeting not only highlighted the ongoing collaboration between labor, employers, and government but also underscored DOLE Region 9's dedication to promoting gainful employment, human resource development, worker rights protection, and industrial peace. Through such initiatives, DOLE Region 9 continues to weave a stronger socio-economic fabric across the Zamboanga Peninsula.
