🎨 1st place! A Massive Congratulations to Rabin Canuzo! 🏆 We are beyond proud to celebrate our very own Gawa Gawa Sa Lawa visual artist here at Club Balai Isabel, who clinched First Place - voted by his fellow participants!

Thank you to everyone who showed their love and appreciation. Every single one of you did an incredible job promoting our beloved hometown, Talisay, Batangas!

🏛️ Doon po sa Amin - Ruinas de Tanauan
Step into the history of Ruinas de Tanauan in this moving short film by Rabin Canuzo. Through personal storytelling, urban sketching, and imagination, he revisits the 17th-century Old Tanauan Church - not just as a ruined structure, but as a living memory.

Every line drawn is an attempt to see what once stood, to imagine how it looked, how it felt, and the stories its walls once held. It is a stunning reflection on heritage, memory, and the beauty of bringing the past back to life through art.

🌼🎨🌞Maraming salamat to everyone who joined our series of workshops this month of June! It has been a beautiful journey of turning nature’s vibrant colors into unique masterpieces. From extracting pigments from local flora like bougainvillea, blue ternate, turmeric, and gumamela, to mastering the art of sun printing—we truly enjoyed creating with all of you.

A special thank you to our incredible workshop instructor, Rio Morfe (), for sharing her talent and guidance. As a multidisciplinary artist from Malvar, Batangas, Haya’s passion for exploring the intersections of nature, mythology, and femininity truly made these sessions extra special.

Art Kit available soon at GGSL Space (2nd floor, Red Egg Deli).

Day 1 of our Sun Printing & Pigment Painting Workshop was a beautiful success! ☀️🌱

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us today to explore the art of creating prints using the sun and diving into pigment painting with natural colors from bougainvillea, blue ternate, turmeric, and gumamela.

This special event is proudly organized by Gawa Gawa sa Lawa and hosted at Club Balai Isabel, with special thanks to our workshop instructor, multidisciplinary artist Rio Morfe ().

Let the sun be your brush! ☀️

We are thrilled to invite you to our upcoming workshop, “Make prints using the sun & natural pigments.” Join us at Club Balai Isabel as we explore the intersection of art and nature, learning how to create unique prints using pigments from bougainvillea, blue ternate, turmeric, gumamela, and more.

We are honored to have multidisciplinary artist Rio Morfe () as our instructor. Based in Malvar, Batangas, Haya’s work beautifully explores the themes of nature, mythology, and femininity. With a background that spans photography, acting, filmmaking, and writing, she is passionate about bringing art out of the galleries and into our daily lives.

Workshop Details:

Venue: Club Balai Isabel (Exact location to be announced).

Fee: ₱1,100 (includes 3-hour workshop, sun printing kit, and merienda).

Happy International Day for Biological Diversity! 🌍✨ Did you know Club Balai Isabel is about 70% trees and greenery? Our fruit-bearing trees make us a favorite destination for local birds, especially with the Taal Volcano bird sanctuary right in our backyard! 🦜🌋

🎨 Nature meets Art:
We’re excited to announce that we are partnering with Gawa Gawa Sa Lawa and Sagip Taal Lake for an upcoming exhibit inside the resort dedicated to the TVPL. We are bringing conservation to the forefront—stay tuned for the opening date!
