2nd to 3rd week of July

We started noticing that every now and then he appeared cross-eyed. We init

ially thought he was doing it on purpose. He loves making people laugh. After his 5th birthday on July 19 though, he appeared cross-eyed more often than he didn't, so we decided to take him to the doctor.

4th week of July to 2nd week of August

Israel was prescribed eyeglasses and 36 eye exercise sessions. Apparently he had astigmatism as well. After a few sessions, it seemed like he was making progress so we felt very optimistic.

3rd week of August

Israel suffered from headaches so bad he would vomit. We noticed the next day he was very lethargic but initially thought it was from dehydration. The blood work and urinalysis didn't show any issue, so we just went on and did everything to make sure he was rehydrated. It seemed to work as he was talking more, but then we started noticing a change in his personality. The sweet boy we know became very irritable. He was yelling at everybody. He has never done that before. He was brought to the hospital for an MRI. Aug 23, 2021

His parents rushed him to the ER early morning after what seemed to be a seizure. Since his MRI was taken at Chong Hua Hospital, we thought it was best to take him there for treatment as well. Not too long after, we heard the most heartbreaking news. He has a tumor in his brain and hydrocephalus.

We wanted to share the latest update on SuperYael’s brain tumor journey. The measurements have improved from 1.9x 1.4x 1.3 to 1.6x 1.2x 1.3 CM. We are filled with gratitude and praise for God, Jesus Christ, the one true King and ultimate healer. His name is the most precious above all. Amen.

Hi Heroes! Yesterday, Yael’s school celebrated Buwan ng Wika. This is a yearly celebration here in the Philippines to embrace our Filipino language and culture. This is his very first time to dance as a student. He is moving his body pretty well. He is now in grade 1. We just want to show you his progress and you will always be part of this journey.
