Each participant will be challenged to complete a fun task, such as taking a photo with their crush or doing other light-hearted dares. If the dare cannot be done, a simple and playful consequence awaits.

This booth is all about spreading joy, confidence, and unforgettable moments with friends and classmates. Come join, take on the challenge, and create memories that will surely make your Valentineโ€™s Day extra special!

The excitement reached its peak during the Math Carnival and Culminating Activity of the Mathematics Club held on January 9, 2026 at Talavera Senior High School โœจ Each participating section brought mathematics to life by designing and operating engaging math-based game booths inspired by a fun perya themeโ€”showcasing computation, logic, patterns, probability, and real-life applications of math.

Students enjoyed learning through play as they explored different booths, proving that mathematics can be interactive, enjoyable, and meaningful ๐Ÿง ๐ŸŽฏ

SUDOKU CHALLENGE
OPEN FOR BOTH GRADE 11 AND 12 STUDENTS OF TALAVERA SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL

When: January 07, 2026 (8:00 A.M.)
Where: TSHS Gymnasium

MECHANICS

1. The Sudoku Competition consists of three sets of puzzles with increasing levels of difficulty: Easy, Average, and Hard.
2. Participants must apply logical and mathematical strategies in solving Sudoku puzzles.
3. The competition is divided into three rounds:
โ€ขEasy Round
โ€ขAverage Round
โ€ขHard Round
4. Easy Round
โ€ขEach participant will be given three (3) Easy-level Sudoku cards.
โ€ขParticipants are given 20 minutes to complete all puzzles.
โ€ขEach correctly solved Sudoku card is worth 5 points.
โ€ขParticipants who obtain at least 10 points will advance to the Average Round.
5. Average Round
โ€ขEach participant will receive two (2) Average-level Sudoku cards.
โ€ขThe allotted time is 20 minutes.
โ€ขEach correctly solved card is equivalent to 10 points.
โ€ขAfter tallying the total scores, a specified number of participants with the lowest scores will be eliminated.
6. Hard Round
โ€ขEach participant will be given one (1) Hard-level Sudoku card.
โ€ขParticipants have 15 minutes to complete the puzzle.
โ€ขThe puzzle is worth 30 points.
โ€ขIf no participant successfully completes the puzzle within the given time, the card will be collected and replaced with a new Sudoku puzzle.
7. For all rounds, one (1) point will be deducted for every incorrect entry in each Sudoku card.

Mechanics

1. Eligibility
The contest is open to all students (grade 11 and 12) of Talavera Senior High School.

2. Theme
โ€œBringing Polygons to Life through Art.โ€
The poster should include and emphasize the use of polygons, but the design is not limited to polygons alone. Participants are free to include other design elements, as long as polygons are clearly emphasized. The artwork should show imagination and visual storytelling.

3. Materials
Participants may use traditional art materials such as pencils, markers, crayons, colored pencils, or paint. Digital and printed artworks are not allowed.

4. Size and Format
All entries must be created on a 1/4 illustration board only. The artwork may be in portrait or landscape orientation.

5. Originality
All artworks must be original and created solely by the participant.

6. Design Guidelines
โ€ข Polygons should be clearly visible and thoughtfully integrated into the design.
โ€ข Freehand drawing is required.

7. Time Limit
Participants will be given 1โ€“2 hours to complete their poster during the contest.

Mechanics:

1. Each participating section is tasked to conceptualize, design, and operate one (1) math-based game booth.

2. Each booth must integrate mathematical concepts such as computation, logic, patterns, probability, or real-life applications of mathematics, while following a carnival or โ€œperyaโ€ theme.

3. Each sectionโ€™s booth must follow the mentioned theme, showcasing creativity through decorations while maintaining safety and order. The boothโ€™s game mechanics, rules, scoring system, and math concepts involved must be clearly displayed and explained to participants. Booth designs should be engaging, interactive, and appropriate for all students, highlighting the fun and practical side of mathematics.

4. Students can play in other booths while managing their own sectionโ€™s booth, encouraging inclusivity and active participation.

5. All booths must focus on fun, creativity, and learning; activities involving gambling or pustahan are strictly prohibited.

6. Each section must assign facilitators to ensure smooth operations, while Math Club officers will serve as overall coordinators and supervisors throughout the event. All participants and facilitators are expected to observe proper conduct, fairness, and safety at all times, keeping booth areas organized and secure.

7. Outstanding booths will be recognized through awards based on creativity, engagement, and effective presentation of mathematical concepts.
