The School of Architecture, Fine Arts and Design (SAFAD) invites all students and teachers to take part in our 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 for the SAFAD Open House 2026. Help us grow the creative community by 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 from Grades 10, 11, and 12 during the Career Exposition on 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟮𝟴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟯𝟬 (𝟵:𝟬𝟬 𝗔𝗠 – 𝟭𝟮:𝟬𝟬 𝗡𝗡)
at the USC Talamban Campus.

• Invite prospective students (Grades 10–12).
• Ask them to register through the QR code posted below.
• Accompany and tour them during the SAFAD Open House.
• Ensure their attendance is confirmed on event day.

FROM CAMPUS TO NATIONAL STAGE: BFA CINEMA ALUMNI SWEEP SINAG MAYNILA 2026 🎬✨

CINEMATA is overflowing with pride! Our incredible Fine Arts alumni made a powerful mark at Sinag Maynila 2026 with the VisMin feature PINIKAS (Halved), taking home Best Film along with six other major awards. 🏆

A huge congratulations to the technical and creative heart of the production:
• Amaya Han (Producer) – Winner, Best Film 🏆
• Jay Hernandez (Editor) – Winner, Best Editing ✂️
• Neil Angelo Briones – Nominee, Best Cinematography 🎥
• Pauline Olarte (BFA Advertising Arts) – Nominee, Best Production Design 🎨

PINIKAS also received awards for Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Leading Actor, Best Leading Actress, and Best Musical Score. The film was likewise nominated for Best Production Design and Best Sound.

We also recognize the dedicated BFA Cinema alumni who contributed to the film’s production, whose passion fueled this six-year journey ❤️‍🔥:

SINEDISIPULO XIV Film Festival may have reached its final stop, but the tracks we’ve laid for regional cinema are only stretching further. 🚂✨

We’re hitting rewind on the films that moved us, the "talkback" sessions that inspired us, and the unforgettable moments that defined this year’s "Railways through the Regions." From the heart of the Visayas to the spirit of Mindanao, these stories proved that our local voices belong on the grandest stage.

Through meaningful screenings and insightful talkbacks with the directors, SINEDISIPULO XIV once again affirmed the importance of creating spaces where regional filmmakers are given the platform they deserve — spaces where their voices are heard and their stories can truly thrive.
