From May 8โ10, 2026, the Good Governance Academy for Aspiring Young Leaders was successfully implemented in Tagum City, Davao del Norte. This youth leadership and good governance training was led by the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) Philippines in partnership with the Tagum City Youth Development Office and Batch Bagani.
The academy brought together 46 aspiring youth leaders from Tagum City and 4 from Davao City who are preparing to step up for the upcoming elections. Over three days, participants engaged in core capacity-building modules covering values-based leadership, political branding, public narrative, and responsible campaigning.
The session featured dedicated mentorship and insights from our Bagani speakers, led by organizer Edu Macabatas, alongside current SK officials Rhoda May Ebad and Vienmar Magdaraog. A brief Bagani Talks session was also hosted by John Chin to promote international youth opportunities and the upcoming 50th SSEAYP application.
GGA x RSW became a platform for meaningful conversations, collaboration, reflection, and leadership formation among young people who aspire to create positive impact within their respective communities. As the academy concludes, may the lessons gained, connections formed, and values strengthened throughout the program continue to guide participants in becoming leaders who serve with competence, accountability, empathy, and purpose.
