Celebrating Our DISCON 2026 Triumphs
The recently concluded District Conference (DISCON) 2026 in Cebu City was a momentous occasion filled with pride, celebration, and inspiration for the Rotary Club of Tagum North and the entire Area 2D family. The conference served as a platform to recognize the remarkable accomplishments achieved through the dedication, teamwork, and unwavering commitment of our members throughout the Rotary year.
Among the highlights of the event was the recognition received by the Rotary Club of Tagum North through several prestigious awards, including the Leadership Excellence Awards, RAGG Awards in Membership, and recognition as Rank No. 9 in Rotary Foundation Giving, with an impressive contribution of US$22,500. These honors reflect our steadfast commitment to Rotary’s guiding principle of Service Above Self and our continued support of humanitarian initiatives that create lasting impact in communities both locally and globally.
A particularly significant achievement was the recognition of our members through the PAG Arnold M. Nicolas Award, presented to Rotarians who qualified for the prestigious Rotary International Membership Society Bronze Level. This distinction recognizes outstanding dedication to membership growth, engagement, and Rotary development. Out of the entire District 3860, only four Rotarians earned this honor, and we take great pride that members of the Rotary Club of Tagum North were among this elite group. Their achievement exemplifies our club’s commitment to strengthening Rotary through fellowship, leadership, and membership expansion.
Adding to the celebration was the outstanding performance of our Area 2D Dancers, who proudly represented our area during the conference. Their captivating presentation showcased the talent, unity, and vibrant spirit of Area 2D, earning admiration from fellow Rotarians across the district. Through their professionalism, confidence, and passion, they brought honor and pride to our delegation.
The conference also highlighted the creativity and entrepreneurial spirit of our community through the House of Friendship Business Exhibit. Our entry, GARBO, earned 3rd Place among the participating exhibits, reflecting the dedication, innovation, and teamwork of everyone involved. The exhibit successfully promoted local products while showcasing the unique identity and potential of our area.
These achievements represent far more than awards and recognitions. They are a testament to what can be accomplished when individuals unite with a shared vision of service, fellowship, and excellence. Every milestone celebrated at DISCON 2026 belongs to every member, partner, supporter, and volunteer whose dedication made these successes possible.
As we move forward, may the inspiration and momentum gained from DISCON 2026 encourage us to continue growing our membership, strengthening fellowship, supporting The Rotary Foundation, and expanding meaningful service projects. Together, we will continue to make a difference, create lasting change, and uphold the values that define Rotary.
