The PICPA Davao del Norte & Oriental Chapter proudly participated in the 1st Face-to-Face Council Session and Induction Ceremony of the PICPA Southern Mindanao Region, held on August 21, 2026, at the PICPA Davao Chapter, Davao City.

The day began with the SMR Advisory Council Organizational Meeting, providing an avenue for regional and chapter leaders to come together, align plans and programs, and strengthen collaboration among the different chapters across Southern Mindanao.

In the afternoon, the Induction Ceremony of the SMR Council formally welcomed the regionโ€™s leaders for FY 2026โ€“2027. We were honored to hear from Atty. Roland Pondoc, CPA, Past National President FY 2024โ€“2025, who served as the Keynote Speaker and Inducting Officer, sharing an inspiring message on good governance and leadership. The ceremony also marked the transition of regional leadership from Jonas Mascariรฑas, CPA, Senior Regional Director FY 2025โ€“2026, to Angelita Ty, CPA, Senior Regional Director FY 2026โ€“2027.

PICPA DdNO is grateful to be part of this meaningful gathering of leaders as we continue building stronger connections, sharing ideas, and working together toward common goals for our members and the profession.

The sessions covered the PICPA organizational structure, effective meeting management, and Parliamentary Procedures, reinforcing the importance of purposeful and organized leadership.

This week has been a productive one for the PICPA Davao del Norte & Oriental Chapter as we participated in the 3-Day Technical Budget Hearing for the Province of Davao del Norte for CY 2027, held from August 4โ€“6, 2026.

We are truly grateful to the Provincial Government of Davao del Norte for the invitation and for considering PICPA DdNO as part of this significant undertaking in shaping the province's development priorities and budget plans.

In addition, on August 6, 2026, we were honored to be invited by the Local Government Unit of Braulio E. Dujali, through its Bids and Awards Committee (BAC), to witness the bidding process for two government projects, further strengthening transparency and accountability in public procurement.

We sincerely thank the Provincial Government of Davao del Norte and the LGU of Braulio E. Dujali for the trust and confidence they have entrusted to our chapter. We remain committed to supporting initiatives that promote good governance, transparency, accountability, and the advancement of the accountancy profession.
