A milestone written not only in plaques and recognition, but in years of service, advocacy, and unwavering belief in the potential of every young Tagumenyo.

The Tagum City Youth and Sports Development Office has once again been recognized as one of the Most Outstanding Local Youth Development Offices of the Philippines under the Municipal and Component Cities Category during the 7th Philippine Sangguniang Kabataan Awards: Ang Tanglaw ng Bagong Panata, held on September 12, 2026, at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Manila.

This national recognition carries with it the stories of young people given opportunities to lead, athletes empowered to compete, communities strengthened through participation, and youth organizations provided spaces to be heard and supported. Behind every program, consultation, training, competition, and initiative is a continuing commitment to make youth development not merely an agenda, but a responsibility translated into action.

For TCYSDO, this honor belongs to every young Tagumenyo who dared to participate, speak, serve, compete, create, and lead. It belongs to the partners, youth leaders, volunteers, barangays, schools, and organizations who continue to build a city where the youth are not simply beneficiaries of development, but active partners in shaping its future.

This milestone also reflects the steadfast support of our very own City Mayor Rey T. Uy, our primary supporter and advocate for youth development, together with the members of the City Council, City Government departments and offices, partner national government agencies, non-government organizations, civil society groups, private institutions, and every partner who continues to believe and invest in the potential of the young people of Tagum.

From Tagum City to the national stage, this recognition stands as a proud testament: when young people are given trust, opportunity, and a place at the table, they do not merely rise. They help move an entire city forward.

And today, for the second time, we celebrate this milestone with the very people who made it possible.

WE MADE IT HAPPEN, BECAUSE YOUth MADE IT HAPPEN AGAIN.

Every voice heard, every young leader empowered, every athlete supported, every opportunity opened, and every dream given room to grow brought us to this moment.
