Building on the foundations established during the first session, this initiative continues to empower the selected faculty members of Laureta National High School, one of the institution's partner schools, by enhancing their digital competencies and exploring innovative applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in teaching and learning. The activity was facilitated by Dr. Henry Ligan, who served as the resource trainer, sharing his knowledge and expertise in Artificial Intelligence and its potential applications in education.

The activity underscores the importance of integrating emerging technologies into educational practices to foster creativity, improve instructional strategies, and promote more engaging and effective learning experiences.

The Community Extension Center (CEC) of the UM Tagum College (UMTC) successfully conducted its Annual Evaluation and Planning, bringing together our valued partner communities, partner agencies, and SOCI Coordinators.

The event provided an avenue to showcase the accomplishments and milestones of the CEC for School Year 2025โ€“2026, highlighting the various community extension initiatives and engagements undertaken in partnership with our stakeholders.

More importantly, the gathering served as a collaborative platform to present and discuss the plans and proposed initiatives for School Year 2026โ€“2027. Through meaningful dialogue and stakeholder participation, the CEC gathered valuable insights, feedback, and recommendations that will help ensure that future community extension programs remain relevant, responsive, sustainable, and aligned with the needs of our partner communities.

The ๐๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ ๐’๐ž๐ซ๐ฏ๐ข๐œ๐ž ๐“๐ซ๐š๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ง๐  ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐š๐ฆ of UM Tagum College (UMTC) conducted a visitation to the communities and areas adopted during the implementation of NSTP programs in School Year 2025โ€“2026.

The activity provided an opportunity to reconnect with our partner communities, revisit the initiatives implemented by our NSTP students, and assess the outcomes and sustainability of the interventions provided.

As part of the visitation, an evaluation was also conducted to assess the effectiveness of the NSTP implementation, particularly in terms of the relevance of the activities, responsiveness to community needs, participation of stakeholders, and the overall impact of the programs on the beneficiaries.

Through this initiative, UMTC continues to strengthen its commitment to community engagement, service-learning, and meaningful partnerships, ensuring that NSTP programs go beyond compliance and contribute to the development and empowerment of communities.

The ๐—–๐—ผ๐—บ๐—บ๐˜‚๐—ป๐—ถ๐˜๐˜† ๐—˜๐˜…๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜€๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป ๐—–๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฟ (๐—–๐—˜๐—–) of UM Tagum College successfully conducted the SOCI Coordinatorsโ€™ Meeting on August 12, 2026, bringing together the SOCI Coordinators to review the accomplishments of the current academic year and establish directions for School Year 2026โ€“2027.

The meeting provided an avenue to assess previous accomplishments, year-end deliverables, professional engagement activities, and the status of Memoranda of Agreement (MOAs) with community partners. The coordinators also discussed the CMAP and 5-Year Development Plan, particularly the preparation of proposals for the 5th year of implementation.

Key discussions also focused on the Formative and Impact Study, the identification of new community partners, and the development of 5th Year Banner Projects that will respond to the emerging needs of partner communities. Issues, concerns, and recommendations were likewise discussed to strengthen the implementation and sustainability of the College's community extension initiatives.

Looking ahead, the meeting emphasized the importance of strategic planning, strengthened partnerships, responsive programs, and sustainable community engagement as UM Tagum College prepares for SY 2026โ€“2027.

Through the active participation and collaboration of the SOCI Coordinators, the Community Extension Center continues to advance its commitment to meaningful community transformation through relevant, responsive, and sustainable extension programs.
