Empowering Livelihoods in Braulio E. Dujali 🌾

The Rotary Club of Tagum was honored to participate in the official launch of the Agricultural Production and Development Enhancement Program in the Municipality of Braulio E. Dujali today, April 21, 2026.

This initiative is made possible through the collaborative efforts of the LGU, the LYR Group of Companies, and committed agri-venture corporations.

This sustainable livelihood project operates as a micro-growership farming. Through this partnership, LYR, the Rotary Clubs, and Farmers Choice Agri-Trading (FCAT) will provide technical support and essential resources, including high-quality feeds and livestock such as pecking ducks and chickens, to help families build a steady source of income.

Celebrating Valor and Fellowship in the City of Harmony!

Along with the Araw ng Kagitingan celebration, Rotary District 3860 (Area ABCDE) successfully held its Joint Area Coordination Meeting on April 9, 2026, at Miko's Brew, Tagum City.

As the proud host, the Rotary Club of Tagum welcomed delegates from the Rotary Club of Tagum North and the Rotary Club of Golden LACES, and Rotarians from Davao City. The meeting was attended by the officers and representatives of all clubs from Davao City.

Beyond the meeting, we took the opportunity to showcase the heart of our city through a local tour. Our visiting Rotarians visited the following:

- Energy Park and the Childrens Park
- Fe Misa Ayala Senior's Park
- Tagum City Historical and Cultural Center
- Brgy. La Filipina Primary Health Care Facility, where the signature project of RC Tagum North was established dubbed as "Gift of Awareness- Mammography for Early Detection."

We are beyond grateful to all the clubs that traveled to visit us. We hope you enjoyed your stay in Tagum City! Until our next ACOM!

LOOK | We are proud to share that our President, Jun Coquilla, participated in the District 3860 Assistant-Governor-Elect Seminar held from March 19-21, 2026, at Kawa Resort in Malinao, General Luna, Siargao Island, Surigao del Norte, Philippines.

This milestone marks his transition to Assistant Governor for Area 2D for the 2026-2027 term, succeeding AG Gabriela Logronio.

The event was a three-day deep dive into Rotary's purpose beyond the "what" and the "how." The seminar addressed real-world challenges every club faces, reawakened the passion for service among inactive members, offered strategies for increased club engagement, and outlined best practices for recruiting new members.

The Rotary Club of Tagum is grateful for the opportunity given for the slot as the Assistant Governor of Area 2D. Although there are challenges ahead, with the strong support and cooperation, Area 2D will surely commit its efforts to .

We officially signed the Tri-partite Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the Bambuhay Project at the New City Hall Atrium today, March 16, 2026.

This partnership among the Rotary Club of Tagum, the City Government of Tagum, the Tagum City Business and Incentives Center (TCBIC), and the DTI solidifies our shared commitment to sustainable industry and livelihood development.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of Mayor Rey T. Uy, Area 2D Assistant Governor Gabriela Logronio, RC Tagum President Jun Coquilla, and TCBIC Head Franz Gregory Naylon, alongside esteemed representatives from DTI and our dedicated fellow Rotarians.

Together, we are building a more resilient and eco-friendly future for every Tagumenyo!

𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐫 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐃𝐮𝐣𝐚𝐥𝐢!

In celebration of Rotary Week 2026, the Rotary Club of Tagum successfully conducted our community-based outreach program, "We Care for Your Eyes," last February 28, 2026.

We are proud to share that over 150 residents of the Municipality of Braulio E. Dujali received free eye check-ups and treatments. For us, this isn't just about healthcare, but about ensuring our brothers and sisters can see a clearer path to their future.

A huge thank you to our very own Rtn. Dr. Widmark Dy for sharing his expertise, and to the dedicated municipal health providers who assisted us. This mission wouldn't have been possible without your heart for service!

Today, February 24, 2026, marks the official launch of the "Bambuhay: A Community-based Bamboo Livelihood Project” at the Barangay Nueva Fuerza Gym. This initiative is a joint effort between the Rotary Club of Tagum, the City Government of Tagum, and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

The project aims to empower local residents by highlighting bamboo's economic potential as a sustainable resource for entrepreneurship and income generation.

The main goal of the event is to introduce barangay residents to the many ways bamboo can be used beyond its traditional applications. By turning this versatile material into high-value products, the project hopes to create a steady income stream for the community. Participants are encouraged to explore how raw bamboo can be transformed into profitable items, fostering a spirit of entrepreneurship and self-reliance at the barangay level.

This was made even more special by the presence of Area 2D Assistant Governor Gabriela Logronio, Nueva Fuerza Barangay Captain Wellie Arcayna, and our very own RC Tagum President, Engr. Jun Coquilla. We were also joined by Mr. Franz Gregory Naylon, the leading proponent who pushed this project into reality. Their support shows that when we work together, great things happen for our barangays.

With the support of the City Government, DTI's marketing expertise, and the Rotary Club's service-oriented mission, the Bambuhay Project offers residents a platform to boost their livelihoods. At the same time, this marks a significant step toward a greener, more prosperous future for Tagumenyos.

IN PHOTOS | The Rotary Club of Tagum proudly supports the City Health Office in launching the kickoff ceremony for the Measles and Rubella Supplementary Immunization Activity (MRSIA) titled "Luwas sa Tipdas." This event will take place today, January 19, 2026, at Robinsons Tagum Atrium.

The immunization initiative will be running from January 19, 2026, to February 13, 2026. The club, in collaboration with the City Government of Tagum, urges all Tagumenyos to ensure their children receive vaccinations to safeguard against future health issues.

TODAY | The Rotary Club of Tagum, represented by Rotarian Jun Coquilla, held a meeting with representatives from NORDECO and the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers of the Philippines, Inc., to explore potential collaboration for the upcoming Lineman Training and House Wiring Installation Training of the City Government of Tagum. This initiative is being led by the City Public Employment Services and Capability Development Office.
