MonLau Chess Club - Brgy. Madaum proudly hosted its first Chess Clinic for beginners under the age category of 7 to 12 years old. This was all made possible through the support of private individuals, as well as through the help and coordination of Barangay Madaum Council and functionaries. We would also like to give our thanks to Sir Kenneth and Sir Dodz for their tireless effort in introducing and honing the skills of our young learners who were all eager to learn more about chess. None of these would have come to fruition if not for all the supportive parents and guardians who dedicated their time and effort to bringing the kids to this event. Our biggest gratitude to you all. Lastly, help us all to congratulate the winners of our first ever Chess tournament. Until our next event! Salamat.

Do you want our younger generation to learn critical thinking, strategic planning, patience, and resilience? Let's teach them chess! MonLau Chess Club - Brgy. Madaum, a private organization built to honor our Father, Ramon Laurente, and his love for chess, is pleased to host its 1st Chess Clinic for Beginners aged 7-12. The event will take place on May 21-22, 2026, from 9 am to 4 pm with a 1-hour lunch break. Please note that this event is fully funded by our private organization. We acknowledge the help of Barangay Kagawad BamBam Cartoneros in securing the venue and the support of the Barangay for allowing the use of the function hall. There are only 20 limited slots available, so hurry and make your move! If you have a chessboard set, please bring it with you. See the flyer below for complete details.
