On April 20, 2026, dedicated Girl Scouts from Laureta National High School gathered at the CENRO Motorpool in Tagum City. They weren't just there as students, but as young ambassadors for the environment, ready to dive into the Solid Waste Management-Communication Education for Public Awareness (CEPA) orientation.
The success of this educational mission was made possible through the collaboration of local leaders and experts. The Laureta NHS Girl Scouts extend their deepest gratitude to:
📌 The Resource Speaker, for sharing invaluable insights and igniting the spark of environmental stewardship in the next generation;
📌 The City ENR Officer, for hosting the scouts at the CENRO facility and providing a firsthand look at the city's ecological efforts;
📌 And the City Mayor, for his unwavering support of youth development and environmental initiatives in Tagum City.
“As Girl Scouts, we are taught to leave a place better than we found it. Today, we learned the tools to make that possible for our entire community,” said one of the Girl Scouts.
Armed with new knowledge and a renewed sense of duty, the scouts returned to Laureta National High School ready to turn their awareness into impact, ensuring that the lessons learned at CENRO ripple out into the homes and hearts of their fellow Tagumeneños 💚
