Start, before you feel ready.
On April 18, 2026, the TCU Information Systems Society, together with the students, gathered for a landmark occasion: the first-ever seminar hosted and organized entirely by our student organization. This inaugural event served as a bridge between academic theory and the fast-paced reality of the global tech industry.
We are deeply honored to welcome our distinguished resource speaker, Ms. Ella Yadao, a seasoned Program and Project Manager from Pivot Project Limited, a Singapore-based Non-Profit Organization.
With over 143 students in attendance, Ms. Ella delved into the critical intersection of business and technology. She provided a masterclass on how these two worlds collide, emphasizing that modern success requires a hybrid mindset, one that understands both the logic of a system and the needs of a market.
Ms. Ella, answering questions from the students during the Q&A session, captivated the audience with the story of her career trajectory, sharing the milestones and challenges that led her to a role at Microsoft. Her key takeaways for the students were clear:
1. Consistency is Key: Success isn't built overnight but through daily, disciplined effort.
2. Controllable Preparation: Focus your energy on what you can prepare for, and let that foundation carry you through the unknown.
3. The Power of Proactivity: In an industry that evolves by the second, waiting for "the perfect moment" is a trap. She reminded us all of the importance of starting before you feel ready.
The energy of the event was kept vibrant and engaging thanks to our charismatic masters of ceremony, Sean Nepumoceno and Benneth Pimentel. Their seamless coordination ensured that the flow of the program reflected the professional standards we strive for within the BSIS community.
We'd also like to thank the student volunteers who made the event possible: Michael Johnlaine David, Prince John Yuan Mata, Daniel Lewis Pagkalinawan, Arlvin Alador Isidro, and the rest of the officers and volunteers who contributed to the event. No matter how big or small.
