Despite the pouring rain on August 29, 5 new volunteers joined us in person, while around 70 joined online for The Storytelling Project’s New Volunteer Orientation.

Making the day even more special, we were also joined by our current volunteers from different batches, who came together behind the scenes to organize and make the orientation possible. It was a beautiful reminder that TSP is not just about the stories we tell, but also the community we build along the way.

📚 A New Chapter Begins on August 29! 💛

We’re excited to welcome aspiring storytellers, educators, advocates, and changemakers to the rescheduled New Volunteer Orientation of The Storytelling Project!

After our previous orientation was postponed due to heavy rains and flooding, we’re ready to gather once again and introduce you to a community that believes in the power of stories to inspire, connect, and create meaningful change.

During the orientation, you’ll learn more about The Storytelling Project, our mission and advocacy, and the different ways you can get involved. Whether you’re passionate about reading and education, enjoy working with children, or simply want to lend your time and skills to a meaningful cause, there’s a place for you at TSP! 🌱

📌 For volunteers who registered for the previous orientation:
You do not need to register again. Please check your email and answer the confirmation form sent to you to let us know if you can attend the rescheduled orientation on August 29.

📌 For those who have not registered yet:
Registration is required for entry to the orientation venue. Make sure to secure your slot and join us for an afternoon of learning, connection, and new beginnings!

Sa pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wika, inaanyayahan kayo ng IBBY-Philippines, kasama ang UNESCO-Philippine National Commission, SM Cares, Book Nook, Aklat Alamid, at The Storytelling Project, sa isa na namang storytelling session ngayong darating na Sabado, Agosto 22, 2026!

Sasamahan natin ang mga kabataan mula sa Barangay Alicia, Quezon City sa paglalakbay sa dalawang kahanga-hangang kuwento: 𝘒𝘢𝘶𝘣-𝘰𝘧𝘶𝘥𝘦𝘯 𝘚𝘩𝘪𝘯 𝘓𝘪𝘫𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘜𝘵𝘢𝘩 (𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘦𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘜𝘵𝘢𝘩 𝘊𝘢𝘷𝘦) at 𝘚𝘪 𝘚𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘮𝘰𝘬𝘰 𝘒𝘰𝘥𝘫𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘢𝘯 𝘕𝘺𝘢𝘸𝘢 (𝘚𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘖𝘶𝘳 𝘚𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘏𝘰𝘮𝘦), na parehong inilathala ng Aklat Alamid.

Due to the heavy rains and flooding in several areas, the team made a difficult decision to postpone today’s Volunteer Orientation to prioritize everyone’s safety and well-being.

Ngayong Buwan ng Wika, ipinagdiriwang natin ang kagandahan, yaman, at kapangyarihan ng wikang Filipino. Isang wikang nag-uugnay sa ating kasaysayan, kultura, at pagkatao.

Sa The Storytelling Project, naniniwala kaming bawat kuwentong binabasa at bawat salitang ibinabahagi ay may kakayahang magbigay-inspirasyon, magpalawak ng imahinasyon, at magtanim ng pagmamahal sa pagbabasa at sa ating sariling wika.

Patuloy nating ipagmalaki ang ating mga kuwento. Patuloy nating buhayin ang wikang Filipino. At sama-sama nating ipasa ito sa susunod na henerasyon, isang kuwento, isang bata, sa bawat pagkakataon.

To everyone who stopped by The Storytelling Project (TSP) booth, thank you for taking the time to learn about our advocacy of fostering a love for reading. Whether you signed up, asked questions, shared stories, or simply said hello, every conversation reminded us why volunteerism continues to inspire hope and change.

To our incredible TSP volunteers, thank you for your time, energy, and passion. You welcomed every visitor with warmth and showed what our community is all about. We couldn’t have done it without each of you.
