Congratulations, Hans Cecilio L. Bosshard, DU1YKL!

Hans Cecilio Bosshard, a BS Electronics Engineering student from the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Institute (EEEI), University of the Philippines Diliman, was announced as the Grand Prize winner of the Satellite Observation Data Utilization Contest 2025 organized by the WNI WxBUNKA Foundation.

The project was undertaken with mentorship from Bernard Alan B. Racoma (Institute of Environmental Science and Meteorology, UP Diliman).

As Grand Prize winner, Hans will participate in a five-day educational study trip to Japan, including visits to meteorological institutions and the SHIRASE icebreaker.

Radio Engineering Circle – Mindoro Section proudly renewed its Amateur Radio Club Station License on February 20, 2026, followed by a station visit at Bondoc, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro.

On February 19, 2026, the section actively participated in the Technical Exhibits during the IECEP Mindoro and Professional Regulation Commission – Board of Electronics Engineering visit at Divine Word College of Calapan, aiming to inspire and expose Electronics Engineering students to become part of the amateur radio community.

With its official club callsign DZ1RH, the Radio Engineering Circle – Mindoro Section continues to uphold responsible operations and technical excellence.

Our commitment to propagate and radiate excellence in amateur radio remains strong.
