MANILA, PHILIPPINES — 17 September 2026 — 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀, 𝗜𝗻𝗰. (𝗔𝗖𝗣𝗜), 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗮𝘀𝘆𝗼𝗻 𝟮𝟬: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝘀𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁, recognizes the rapid development of generative AI and its growing role in the creative and animation industries.

ACPI would like to clarify that the acceptance of AI-assisted tools in Animahenasyon 20 entries does not mean that the festival is endorsing or prioritizing fully AI-generated works.

Animahenasyon remains committed to recognizing originality, storytelling, artistic excellence, technical skill, and meaningful human creative contribution. Creators who use AI tools remain responsible for the originality, rights, and integrity of their submitted work.

ACPI also demand full transparency and disclosure regarding the use of generative AI in submitted works, including the nature and extent of its use.

As the Philippine animation industry continues to evolve, ACPI believes it is important to give Filipino artists access to knowledge and responsible practices around emerging technologies while ensuring that human creativity remains at the heart of animation.

Animahenasyon 20 welcomes innovation, but its commitment remains unchanged: to celebrate creators, creativity, and the continuing excellence of Philippine animation.
