In the recently concluded DICT ICT Industry Development Bureau IIDB's LAKBAY LIKHA TAGBILARAN, headed by its EPIC and the DICT IIDB Region 7 teams last Nov 30 to Dec 1, 2025 head at the Ceremonial Hall of the Province of Bohol, there were several workshops held during the 2 day event, The workshop speakers were amazing in bringing out the best in each participants.

From creation to market, Day 2 of our Lakbay Likha Roadshow in collaboration with DICT Region VII - Central Visayas from Nov 30-Dec 1 focused on empowering creators with the knowledge, pathways, and industry insights needed to build sustainable creative careers.

We opened with a talk by Marla De Castro-Rausch, President of SIKAP, on The Global Market for Creative Content — highlighting how Filipino originality and storytelling can compete on the world stage.

This was followed by a session from Janyl Lambeau Tanoy, internationally translated graphic novelist, on building a career in game development and navigating professional opportunities.

Our Creator Spotlights featured:
✨ Janyl Lambee Tanoy on sustainability in game development
✨ Philmore Amodia, CEO of Emottoons Studio, on sustainability in animation through original content

A Malikhaing Talakayan brought together PD Vierna Teresa Ligan, Janyl Lambeau Tanoy, and Philmore Amodia to discuss the realities and future of creative work in the region.

We closed the morning with a plenary by Vinci Roxas of SIKAP on building a sustainable creative career, followed by an Industry Spotlight from Rene Misa and the awarding of certificates for partners and stakeholders.

The afternoon continued with community-led activities — including a storyboard review session, cosplay runway, and awarding ceremonies for the individual and group categories.

This weekend, our SIKAP AYO roadshow team traveled to Tagbilaran to join DICT Region VII - Central Visayas Lakbay Likha Roadshow held from Nov 30-Dec 1 — a nationwide initiative strengthening the Philippines’ creative industry through digital skilling, capacity-building, and community collaboration.

This Tagbilaran leg, SIKAP x Department of Information and Communications Technology - DICT, brought together creators, studios, educators, and government partners to help grow Bohol’s creative ecosystem.

Day 1 focused on Understanding the Business of Creativity — a full-day learning journey for emerging and established creatives alike. 🌱✨

We opened with messages of support from local and regional leaders, followed by discussions on digital transformation, Lakbay Likha’s mission, and a collective Pledge of Commitment to advancing Bohol’s creative economy.

Our keynote by Marla De Castro-Rausch, President of SIKAP, centered on the call to Be an Original — highlighting originality and Filipino creativity as our strongest global advantage.

The morning continued with a session on protecting your creations and a Malikhaing Talakayan featuring Marla Rausch, Allan Toston, RD Frederick Amores, and PD Vierna Teresa Ligan, moderated by Jay Paul Aying.

The afternoon brought hands-on workshops on animation, comics, story craft, branding, and game development led by Philmore Amodia, Alreena Levy Lumapas, Steven Sonnet, David Chan, Ran Carmona, and Janyl Lambee Tanoy — plus creation challenges and a community networking mixer to close the day.
