Taguig City received a Certificate of Commendation from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the ASEAN 2026 National Organizing Council for its security, emergency preparedness and response efforts in support of ASEAN 2026 activities in Metro Manila, including the 59th ASEAN Foreign Ministersโ Meeting and related meetings held in July.
The commendation also recognized the Cityโs continued support for the ongoing implementation of ASEAN 2026, with activities set to continue through November.
Taguig Youth Development Office Head Atty. Aldrin Nexel S. Sinues received the award on behalf of Mayor Lani Cayetano and the City of Taguig during a ceremony at the PNP Main Conference Room at Camp BGen Rafael T. Crame in Quezon City.
The recognition highlighted Taguigโs public safety, security and emergency preparedness efforts, including the implementation of its KALASAG Plan of Action.
Through close coordination among concerned agencies, responsive emergency measures and the deployment of personnel and resources, Taguig continues to strengthen its preparedness and capacity to support major national and international events while ensuring the safety of residents and visitors.
