Machi is for adoption!

25/07/2026

🐱 MACHI
📍 From Mulberry Place

♈ Aries | 🎂 3 months old | ♀️ Female | 🍑 Unspayed | 💊 Dewormed

🏡 MACHI’S IDEAL HOME
- Machi needs a safe, indoor-only home where she can grow and explore without risk.
- She is ideal for first-time cat owners.
- She would love a home with plenty of vertical spaces for climbing and play.

🐾 HER STORY
- Machi was rescued as a tiny, fragile kitten by children in Mulberry Place. With no mother around to groom her, she was often covered in eye discharge.
- Volunteers stepped in to clean her, nurse her, and give her the care she needed during those first fragile weeks.
- The Mulberry Place PMO considered taking her in as an office cat. Since she was still small enough to be accidentally stepped on, she moved to a foster home where she could grow safely.
- Machi has already had her moment of internet fame. A video of her wearing a collar around her belly because she was so tiny went viral.
- She is friendly, playful, social, and independent. She loves running around the house, following people like a shadow, and watching running water.
- She prefers dry food over wet food. At night, she wants to stay close to you and purrs constantly.
- When she is happy, she kneads blankets or people. When she wants attention, she may dramatically flop onto the floor.
- Machi is now ready for a permanent home where she can feel safe, receive plenty of attention, and keep growing into the star she already is.

From trapped in a fire to a home of his own.

Some of you will remember Weather, the community cat who was being fostered by our neighbor when her condo unit caught fire while she wasn't home. He got stuck inside, and our volunteers plowed through the debris to get him out.

Since then, Weather has been in foster care and settled into indoor life. And now that our neighbor has gotten back on her feet after the fire, she's made it official: Weather is home for good.

Here's what she told us:
"I love our daily routine now. I wake up next to him and he taps my face to ask for food or head pats. He naps a lot, especially on my bed and sa sofa 😆 Generally chill except when he's hungry or getting the occasional zoomies 😅 I feed him before I leave for work, then find him waiting at the door or coming out of the room to claim his dinner when I get home."

From rescue to routine, Weather finally has his person. Home, At Last.

Every property had someone who cared. Someone quietly feeding, watching, worrying. But caring alone is exhausting and it only goes so far. So we found each other. We organized, we connected with our PMOs and we built something bigger.

Today, AECC works across Acacia Estates in Taguig City so that no volunteer, no resident and no community cat is left without support. We share our work openly because we believe this model is replicable and because no community should have to start from zero.

Meet Pineapple and Garfield, enjoying their well-deserved retirement home. Garfield was our very first alpha. Pineapple is our prodigal daughter, who left Mulberry Place for six months before finding her way back home.

Pineapple and Garfield were deeply attuned to outdoor life, but with patience and love, they made the transition to home living. It wasn’t easy and it took time, but it was necessary for their safety.

Rehoming community cats is a key feature of our cat care program. When a cat shows strong bonds with people, needs protection from street dangers, or simply thrives better indoors, we work to find them loving families.

It’s one of the ways we ensure every community cat gets the best possible life.

Not every cat will be rehomed, and that’s okay. But for those who can thrive indoors, we’re here to make the match happen. If you’ve ever considered adopting, reach out to us. You might just meet your new family member.
