Senior Scout Benedict Bulan from SCOVACOMSCO and Institutional Head SL Marilen C. Saballe were featured on the official page of the 33rd APR Scout Jamboree.

The photos were taken during the BSP National Office's Skill-O-Rama event last October 26, 2025 at Kartilya ng Katipunan, Manila, where SCOVACOMSCO scouts and Scout Leaders demonstrated various scouting skills, including semaphore and bandaging, to their fellow scouts.

The 2025 Skills-O-Rama and Fancy Drill Competition was held on October 26, 2025, at Kartilya ng Katipunan, Ermita, Manila, gathering more than 200 Scouts from various councils. The activity served as a venue to enhance Scouting knowledge, develop essential survival and leadership skills, and strengthen camaraderie among participants.

The event featured a market-style setup, allowing Scouts the freedom to explore various skill bases and engage in different Scouting activities. Each participant carried a bingo card, which base commanders signed upon the completion of each skill station. This system promoted active engagement, self-paced learning, and interaction among Scouts, while also fostering discipline and teamwork.

A variety of Scouting skills were showcased throughout the event, including knot tying, bandaging, CPR, pioneering, signaling (Semaphore and Wigwag), ham radio operations, Morse code, tent pitching, survival cooking, compass reading, orienteering, emergency transport, origami and paper folding, and woggle making. Each station offered practical demonstrations and hands-on activities that allowed Scouts to apply the principles of Scouting in real-world scenarios.

The Scouts and Eagle Scouts of SCOVACOMSCO served as facilitators for the various bases, effectively sharing their knowledge and expertise with the participants. Their leadership and commitment ensured that every Scout experienced meaningful and enjoyable learning throughout the event. The facilitators and their assigned skills were as follows:

Scouts Omar Rahudin, Bench Chavez, and ES Shane Rhod Palma proudly took turns wearing the BSP mascots, Binay and Wenay. Despite the sweltering heat, they exemplified discipline and dedication, showcasing their unwavering commitment to the spirit of scouting.

The 2025 Skills-O-Rama and Fancy Drill Competition successfully met its objectives of developing the Scouts’ practical abilities, initiative, and leadership. Through the active participation and exemplary performance of SCOVACOMSCO facilitators, the event became a significant avenue for promoting the Scouting ideals of preparedness, service, and brotherhood.

𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗬 𝗟𝗔𝗞𝗔𝗗 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱: 𝗟𝗮𝗸𝗮𝗱 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝘀𝗮 𝗞𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗮𝗻, 𝗣𝗮𝗴-𝗮𝘀𝗮 𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻

Last October 11, 2025, 15 Senior Scouts of SCOVACOMSCO and 2 Rover Scouts of SCOVAROCI participated in the annual Alay Lakad of Calamba City — a meaningful solidarity walk dedicated to supporting the youth and promoting community development.

The event commenced at the City College of Calamba and concluded at the Jose Rizal Coliseum, gathering students, educators, scouts, and local organizations in a unified effort to empower young individuals and enhance civic engagement.

The participation of the Senior and Rover Scouts of SCOVACOMSCO and SCOVAROCI exemplified unity, solidarity, and commitment to public service — highlighting their continued dedication to advancing sustainable and youth-centered initiatives for the betterment of the community.

A Senior Scout from SCOVACOMSCO was chosen as Mr. Alay Lakad 2025 of the event.
