𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | On August 21, 2025, at exactly 1:30 in the afternoon, the Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo (KKDAT) Tagbina Chapter representative was honored to be the Guest Speaker at the Anti-Drug Symposium spearheaded by the SK Council and Barangay Officials of Soriano, in line with the celebration of Linggo ng Kabataan 2025.

The symposium featured the topic “Youth in Action: Building a Drug-Free Community through Awareness and Prevention,” which highlighted the essential role of young people in protecting their communities from the threats of illegal drugs. It encouraged the youth of Barangay Soriano to embrace responsibility, promote awareness among their peers, and lead prevention efforts toward creating a safer, healthier, and drug-free future.

This significant activity was realized through the initiative of the dynamic SK Council of Barangay Soriano, under the leadership of the ever-dedicated Hon. Veniel B. Acebedo, SK Chairperson, with the unwavering support of the Barangay Officials led by Hon. Lamigo, Punong Barangay. Their commitment and guidance provided a meaningful avenue for the youth to be empowered, heard, and inspired to live with discipline and purpose.

The KKDAT Tagbina Chapter conveys its deepest appreciation to the organizers for granting the youth this opportunity to learn, be empowered, and stand united for a cause. Indeed, the campaign against illegal drugs grows stronger when the younger generation takes the lead in advancing awareness, prevention, and positive transformation.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | On August 21, 2025, exactly 9:30AM, the Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo (KKDAT) Tagbina Chapter representative proudly served as the Guest Speaker during the Anti-Drug Symposium organized by the SK Council and Barangay Officials of Osmeña, in celebration of Linggo ng Kabataan 2025.

The symposium carried the topic “Youth in Action: Building a Drug-Free Community through Awareness and Prevention,” which underscored the importance of empowering the youth to actively participate in safeguarding their communities against the dangers of illegal drugs. Their leadership and dedication created a valuable space for the youth to be heard, guided, and inspired to live with purpose and discipline.

The KKDAT Tagbina Chapter extends its heartfelt gratitude to the organizers for giving the youth this opportunity to be more informed, empowered, and united in action. Truly, the fight against illegal drugs is strongest when the young generation takes the lead in promoting awareness, prevention, and positive change.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | The Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo (KKDAT) – Tagbina Chapter proudly served as one of the facilitators of 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐉𝐄𝐂𝐓 𝐑.𝐄.𝐀.𝐃.𝐘. – Promoting Awareness, Preventing Harm: Tagbina MPS on Drug Use and Sexual Assault Education.

As part of the 30th Police Community Relations (PCR) Month celebration and in support of the continued rollout of Project READY (Responsible Engagement and Advocacy on Drug Awareness for the Youth), KKDAT Tagbina Chapter joined a meaningful and educational campaign held on July 29, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Osmeña Integrated School.

PCpl Flordevoi D. Retardo, CAD PNCO**, under the guidance of PMAJ Corby B. Piligan, Chief of Police, led the discussion on the core provisions of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002), aiming to raise student awareness about the dangers and legal consequences of drug use.

Adding greater depth to the program, PCpl Mhery Joy Bercede of Osmeña Integrated School presented a comprehensive lecture on Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC) and R**e Awareness and Prevention, fostering gender sensitivity and encouraging protective behaviors among young participants.

This initiative was made possible through the collaborative efforts of Tagbina MPS, KKDAT Tagbina Chapter, and Osmeña Integrated School, led by the ever-committed school head Sir Rosal, with the support of dedicated teachers and staff, BKD and NDEP coordinators, BKD officers, student leaders, and the vibrant student body of OIS.

Together, we continue to stand as a stronghold for youth empowerment and community education—united in our advocacy against illegal drugs, abuse, and gender-based violence.

In line with the 30th Police Community Relations (PCR) Month celebration and the ongoing implementation of Project READY (Responsible Engagement and Advocacy on Drug Awareness for the Youth), the KKDAT Tagbina Chapter took part in an impactful information drive held on July 29, 2025, at 9:00 AM at Carpenito Integrated School.

The lecture was led by PCpl Flordevoi D. Retardo, CAD PNCO, under the supervision of PMAJ Corby B. Piligan, Chief of Police, who discussed key provisions of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) to educate and empower students on the risks and consequences of illegal drug use.

Further strengthening the initiative PEMS LUNIE P ALIPAO, WCPD, delivered a session on Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC) and R**e Awareness and Prevention, promoting gender sensitivity, protection, and awareness among the youth.

Through this proactive involvement, Tagbina MPS , KKDAT Tagbina Chapter, and Carpenito Integrated School, under the leadership of the ever-active school head Sir Arayan, along with the Teachers and Staffs the BKD and NDEP coordinators, BKD officers, student leaders, and the students of CIS, joined hands to champion youth empowerment and community education.

Together, we remain at the forefront of the fight against illegal drugs, abuse, and gender-based violence—serving as a united force for a safer and more informed youth community.
