THE BIT-IC MAIN ROTCU MOURNS THE PASSING OF OUR VERY OWN FORMER ACTIVE ROTC OFFICER

It is with broken hearts and deep sorrow that we bid our final farewell to Pfc Niel Albert Manigo PA (Res) former Corps S4 (Logistics and Supply Officer, A.Y. 2023–2024) a brave soul, a dedicated defender, a committed ROTC Officer, and a beloved brother, son, and friend.

As a Reservist and a loyal ROTC Officer, you stood ready to serve, protect, and defend β€” always putting the welfare of others and the nation before your own. You carried your uniform with pride, and you performed every task with integrity and commitment. Whether in your duties as Logistics and Supply Officer, in training and molding young cadets, or in your service as a soldier, you showed us what it truly means to be a hero not just in words, but in every action you took and every sacrifice you made.

Your presence brought strength to those around you; your kindness touched many lives, and your dedication inspired all of us who had the privilege of working beside you. Though your time with us was far too short, the mark you left in our hearts and the legacy of your service will remain forever. You have fought a good fight, you have finished your course, and you have kept the faith.

Now, the duty is done. You may now rest, brave soldier and officer. The battles are over, and peace is yours at last. We will miss your smile, your voice, and the warmth you shared, but we will never forget the man you were and the service you gave.

Thank you for everything. Thank you for your service, your leadership, your bravery, and your heart. You are gone from our sight, but never from our memory. You will live on in the stories we tell, in the pride we hold, and in the freedom you helped protect.

IN PHOTOS: The BIT-IC Main Reserve Officers' Training Corps Unit (ROTCU) successfully conducted its Graduation Ceremony and Change of Command for Academic Year 2025–2026 at BIT-IC Main, Tagbilaran City, Bohol.

At 090029 May 2026, PLTC JOSEPH BERONDO, CHIEF of PECADU arrived on behalf of Guest of Honor and Speaker, Hon. Dionisio Joseph V. Balite (Board Member, 3rd District of Bohol), along with MAJ RAUL P. BARBARONA JAGS PA (RES), Commandant; and 1LT ERLINDE A. BANTUGAN PA (RES), Assistant Commandant. They were followed by the NSTP Coordinator, Mr. Carlos Tolibas, and Administrative Non-Commissioned Officer Sgt. Simsard Espanol (SC) PA, at BIT-IC Main Campus.

0900H:
The graduation ceremony formally commenced with the arrival and assembly of all cadets, cadettes, officers, GMAs, and invited officials at the designated venue. The program was conducted in a solemn and orderly manner, highlighting the achievements and successful completion of training for 1CL Officers, as well as the dedication and accomplishments of all participating cadets and cadettes. Throughout the ceremony, proper decorum, discipline, and military bearing were strictly observed, contributing to the smooth and successful conduct of the event.

During the program, PLTC JOSEPH BERONDO delivered an inspirational message, encouraging the graduates to uphold the values of leadership, integrity, and service as they move forward in their journey and future endeavors. His words served as a source of motivation, inspiring everyone present to continue striving for excellence and to uphold the values and principles they have learned. The ceremony proceeded successfully, fostering a sense of pride, accomplishment, and unity among all participants.

At 1100H on the same date, the troops were called to form ranks in preparation for dismissal.

The BIT-IC Main Reserve Officer Training Corps, headed by C/COL JESILOU M PANGAN 1CL, Corps Commander, together with the ROTC Instructors and Group Medical Advisors, successfully conducted its 15th Military Instruction for the Second Semester at the BIT-IC Dao Parade Ground, Dao District, Tagbilaran City, Bohol.

The activity commenced at 0700H with the rank inspection of basic cadets, followed by instructions on drills and ceremonies. Throughout the morning session, all cadets ensured full compliance with the requirements for their ROTC Clearance.

At 1145H, the cadets assembled on the parade ground for final announcements before proceeding to the lunch break, officially concluding the morning session at 1200H.
