"We celebrate life and remember moments."

Some lives may be measured in years, but the most beautiful ones are measured in love.
When Alex came to us in June 2023, he was in his senior years and carried many burdens heartworm, blood parasites, kidney disease, and the weight of a difficult past. Yet he never let those define him. Instead, he filled our days with quiet courage, beautiful moments, and memories that will stay with us forever. Several days ago, Alex peacefully crossed the Rainbow Bridge.

Our deepest thanks to our good friend James Chua🇸🇬 and to all the people who sent help so Alex can enjoy his senior years in comfort.

Not every rescued animal is adopted. Not every rescued animal is healed completely. Thank you Alex for reminding us that every life, no matter how fragile, is precious. You will always be part of the BARK family.🌼

𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗪𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴: 𝗜𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗿𝘂𝗲𝗹𝘁𝘆

We rescued Curry in 2024.
He was chained to guard roosters for cockfighting. No shelter, no proper food and clean water. He was sleeping on bare ground. The chain had embedded into his neck, almost severing it.

These are hard photos to see. But they are real.
And reality is what we need to face so it stops happening.

Today, Curry is safe at BARK.
He plays with friends. He gets medical care. No dog should ever live like this again.

Skinny - our little miracle girl🫶

Today we got the official news that she passed her Rabies Serology Test! Soon, she will be going home to her new family in Taiwan.

From Feline Panleukopenia, anemia and malnutrition to titer passed, to travel papers, to family pick up.

The Universe is good and extra good to our little Skinny!

Sky's world! A little Sky light on your feed!💫

The Universe definitely had other plans for this girl. Sky might be missing her upper snout, but what she lacks in bone structure, she multiplies hundredfold in pure, unfiltered attitude.

We are wondering if someone out there is her forever? We hope one day forever will smile at her.

For the meantime, she reminds us to hydrate and to provide fresh clean water to your pets and the animals passing by your homes.

SOPHIE wasn't rescued overnight. She was gently drizzled with patience, care, and second chances.

One year ago, Sophie was living a life no dog should ever know. Neglected and chained. Health issues. No water, food and shelter. Yet behind those tired eyes and body was a life still waiting for a second chance.

Today is a celebration of life. Look at Sophie. She now runs, play and enjoying her "every life matters".

Sophie's before and after didn't happen overnight. Sophie's story reminds us that rescue is not only about saving a life. It is about giving that life the chance to heal, to trust again, and to simply be a dog.

Every rescued life deserves the opportunity to bloom. Thank you to everyone who helped Sophie became the dog she is today. Sophie's life has changed because compassion changes lives.

𝗣𝗲𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗿
𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗱: 𝗔𝗦𝗣𝗜𝗡 𝘄𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗺 𝘀𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲🌞

After six months of intensive veterinary care, proper nutrition, and a safe environment, Pepper has made a remarkable physical recovery.

While his body has healed from malnutrition dehydration, blood parasites, severe infection, skin lesions from ant bites and food deprivation, his emotional journey is still work in progress. He was leashed and made to guard a vacant property without proper shelter and food.

Pepper still experiences episodes of aggression when he feels threatened or scared. Healing from severe neglect takes time and we stand by Pepper as he learns to fully trust again.

Peps as we fondly call him is updated with his vaccinations and is already neutered.

📍If you use a dog to guard your property, they require proper shelter, clean water, adequate food, and medical care. Leaving them tied up to starve in the elements is cruelty, plain and simple.

Just in case you need a reason to smile today, here’s our little furball, Skinny. 🐈

Skinny is preparing for her international adoption. She’s flying to Taiwan soon to be reunited with her rescuer. ❤️✈️

Our hope is that there will be many more “Skinnys” who get to find their forever home too.
