This brave little girl came to us after a devastating dog bite injury that resulted in the loss of much of her nose. Injuries like this impact far more than appearance. They affect breathing, function, and a child’s confidence.

On this mission, our team performed a forehead flap reconstruction. This is a complex, multi stage procedure that uses healthy tissue from the forehead to begin rebuilding the nose. It requires careful planning and surgical precision to restore both form and function.

Faces of Tomorrow is known for cleft care, but our mission also includes treating facial differences caused by trauma, burns, and other conditions. This is the start of her journey, not the end. She will need follow up procedures and continued care with local physicians to complete her reconstruction.

Every step forward matters. Every surgery is a chance at healing, dignity, and hope.

Thank you to our supporters and to the families who trust us with their care. 💛

Smiles connect us across continents ☀️

We are so grateful for our collaboration with Paper Crane, a student organization at University of California, Berkeley dedicated to spreading art-focused hope, happiness, and healing, one smile at a time.

Paper Crane creates art kits for Benioff Children’s Hospital and community partners, and these beautiful handmade sun crafts traveled with our team to India as part of our patient activity packets.

Different places, same goal: bringing comfort, creativity, and smiles to children when they need it most 💛

One of today’s most complex cases was a 7-hour reconstruction for a child born with microtia, a condition where the ear does not fully develop.

This intricate procedure requires two surgeons working at the same time. One carefully harvests cartilage from the patient’s ribs while the other begins preparing the ear site. Once the cartilage is removed, it is then meticulously scraped, cut, and molded over several hours into the shape of an ear, then placed beneath the skin to create a natural framework.

These long, delicate surgeries can open the door to improved hearing, greater confidence, and more opportunities for each child.

Yesterday our team was warmly welcomed at Varma Union Hospital for our intake day. We screened more than 65 patients and have a full surgical schedule this week with 40+ cases planned. Several include complex, multi-procedure surgeries for a single patient.

We’re honored to be here and excited for the week ahead as we help provide life-changing cleft care. Follow along to see the impact your support makes possible. 💛
