During a recent visit, our Deaf Wellness Division (DWD) staff were delighted to see the beautifully painted porch of one of our Deaf studentsโ homes. What made it even more remarkable was learning that the student himself had completed the artwork. His creativity, dedication, and initiative were clearly reflected in the project, demonstrating how he continues to develop and apply his artistic talents even during the school break.
Stories like this serve as a powerful reminder that learning does not end when classes are out of session. With encouragement, opportunity, and determination, students can continue to discover, nurture, and showcase their unique gifts in their homes and communities.
Through IDEAโs annual home visitation program, we remain connected with our learners and their families, gaining valuable insights into their lives beyond school while supporting their well-being, personal development, and continued growth.
