July 30, 2026 | The 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗼𝗿𝘂𝗺 attended the 𝘾𝙞𝙧𝙘𝙡𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙆𝙣𝙤𝙬𝙡𝙚𝙙𝙜𝙚 𝙊𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣, a student support initiative designed to promote academic success and socio-emotional well-being among students of the 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. The event also featured the introduction of the 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 faculty, allowing students to become more familiar with their educators.

The orientation introduced the goals and vision of the 𝘾𝙞𝙧𝙘𝙡𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙆𝙣𝙤𝙬𝙡𝙚𝙙𝙜𝙚, highlighting the importance of peer collaboration, academic assistance, and well-being activities in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment. It served as a meaningful opportunity for students to better understand how the program fosters both academic excellence and personal growth.

The 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗼𝗿𝘂𝗺 extends its sincere appreciation to the 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 for spearheading this valuable initiative. Continuing the meaningful engagement in the 𝙏𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙀𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙀𝙭𝙘𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝘾𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧 (𝙏𝙀𝙀𝘾) 𝙍𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝘾𝙤-𝘿𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙜𝙣 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙥, the second day focused on the finalization, presentation, and evaluation of the outputs developed during the previous sessions.

Participants collaboratively reflected on the discussions, insights, and recommendations generated throughout the workshop, particularly those addressing the problems, issues, and concerns in teacher education and basic education in Region VII. The session emphasized evidence-based planning, stakeholder collaboration, and shared commitment toward improving teacher preparation and educational quality.

The workshop concluded with renewed perspectives and a stronger dedication to contribute to responsive and transformative teacher education initiatives for future educators and learners.

July 28, 2026 | Together with Dean 𝐃𝐫. 𝐉𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐉. 𝐑𝐨𝐲 and Programs Head 𝐃𝐫. 𝐄𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐥 𝐒. 𝐃𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗝𝗮𝘀𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗔. 𝗧𝗮𝗯𝘂𝗻𝗼, President-Elect of 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗼𝗿𝘂𝗺, is privileged to participate in the 𝙏𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙀𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙀𝙭𝙘𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝘾𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧 (𝙏𝙀𝙀𝘾) 𝙍𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝘾𝙤-𝘿𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙜𝙣 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙥.

The workshop gathers representatives from various sectors, including government agencies, public and private schools, NGOs, higher education institutions, and other education stakeholders. Through this collaborative engagement, participants share insights and contribute to the strengthening of teacher education in the region.

For today's session, participants examined and evaluated national and regional data concerning Region VII, focusing on existing problems, issues, and concerns affecting teacher education and the basic education sector. Discussions highlighted challenges such as teacher specialization mismatch, access to quality teacher preparation, professional development needs, and other concerns that influence educational outcomes. These conversations aim to help formulate responsive and evidence-based strategies that will improve teacher preparation and promote quality education for all learners.

July 23, 2026 | The 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗼𝗿𝘂𝗺 had the privilege of attending the special lecture delivered by 𝐌𝐬. 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐚 𝐄𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐚 𝐈𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐨, former 𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘂𝗺 and Professor of 𝗔𝘀𝗶𝗮-𝗣𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀 at the 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝘀𝗶𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰.

Drawing from her extensive experience in the fields of culture, heritage, museums, and education, Ms. Icasiano shared valuable insights that deepened our appreciation of the vital role these institutions play in preserving history, promoting cultural identity, and enriching education. Her inspiring discussion encouraged future Social Studies educators to recognize the importance of connecting historical and cultural understanding with meaningful classroom learning.

July 18, 2026 | The 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗼𝗿𝘂𝗺 successfully conducted the seminar "𝘽𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘾𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙘 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙚𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚: 𝙒𝙝𝙮 𝙄𝙩 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙁𝙪𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙀𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙨" for the fourth-year students of the 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 as part of the 𝗙𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝘆 (𝗙𝗦) 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴.

The seminar featured insightful discussions from our distinguished guest speakers, 𝐌𝐫. 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐩𝐡 𝐋𝐚𝐰𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐬, 𝐋𝐏𝐓 and 𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐍𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐨, 𝐋𝐏𝐓, who shared valuable perspectives on the importance of civic competence in shaping responsible, ethical, and socially engaged future educators. Their expertise and experiences encouraged participants to recognize the vital role teachers play in fostering active citizenship and community involvement.

A dedicated public servant and educator, 𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐍𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐨, 𝐋𝐏𝐓, currently serves as the 𝗦𝗞 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮, 𝗕𝗼𝗵𝗼𝗹, representing the youth in the municipal council and leading programs that promote education, leadership development, and civic engagement. He also serves as a 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗼𝗵𝗼𝗹 - 𝗦𝗞 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. A 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗻𝗮 𝗖𝘂𝗺 𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗲 graduate of the 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀 from 𝗕𝗼𝗵𝗼𝗹 𝗜𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 - 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀, he continues to champion youth empowerment and values-driven leadership through public service and education.

During his lecture, "𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻: 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲," he emphasized that civic competence is not simply a concept to be taught, but a practice to be lived inside and outside the classroom. A proud alumnus of the 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝘆 𝗡𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 - 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, Batch 2023, 𝐌𝐫. 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐩𝐡 𝐋𝐚𝐰𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐬, 𝐋𝐏𝐓, graduated 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗻𝗮 𝗖𝘂𝗺 𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗲 with a 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀. 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 - 𝗕𝗼𝗵𝗼𝗹, where he continues to inspire aspiring teachers through his passion for education and leadership.

During his session about 𝗖𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, he emphasized that civic competence is more than acquiring knowledge - it is about understanding our responsibilities as citizens and translating that knowledge into meaningful action.
