The 4th Year students of Socialis Studiorum joined the Mangrove Planting Activity held at the coastal areas of Manga, Tagbilaran City. 🌊

Beyond the classroom, we continue to live out the spirit of servant leadership and social responsibility— because education is not only about what we know, but also about how we use what we learn to make a difference.

One of our 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿𝘀 participated as part of the 𝟰𝘁𝗵 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 – 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝘆 𝗡𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀 during the official launching of the 𝗢𝗰𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗘𝘅𝗵𝗶𝗯𝗶𝘁 at the 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘂𝗺 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 – 𝗕𝗼𝗵𝗼𝗹. 🌊

The exhibit offered a meaningful opportunity to learn beyond the classroom and gain valuable knowledge about our 𝗼𝗰𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀, 𝗶𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀, and the 𝗲𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 that shapes our lives. For future Social Studies educators, experiences like this deepen our understanding of the connections between 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲, 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁.

It was a wonderful opportunity to 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻, 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲, and appreciate the importance of our island home while gaining knowledge that can be carried beyond the classroom and into the communities we hope to serve.

📜 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 | 𝗞𝗔𝗕𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗡: 𝗕𝘂𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗡𝗮𝗸𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗼

The 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗼𝗿𝘂𝗺 is delighted to have been part of the heritage symposium held at Holy Name University on September 11, 2026, in partnership with Arkicamp Heritage Fil-Asia, Inc., through the “𝗞𝗔𝗕𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗡: 𝗕𝘂𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗡𝗮𝗸𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗼” grant of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA).

Beyond being participants, the members of Socialis Studiorum were honored to extend their service and assistance throughout the entire event. It was a meaningful opportunity for our organization to contribute to an initiative dedicated to strengthening awareness, appreciation, and preservation of our cultural heritage.

The symposium explored the importance of architectural as-built documentation and conservation in safeguarding heritage structures. The discussions covered traditional Filipino ancestral houses and tropical design, movable heritage in interiors, basic conservation principles, the role of history in heritage structures, and the efforts of the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) and the National Museum in preserving our cultural heritage.

Socialis Studiorum is grateful for the opportunity to learn, participate, and serve alongside fellow advocates of heritage preservation. May we continue to carry these lessons beyond the symposium and into the communities we hope to serve.

With the competition mechanics revealed only on the spot, participants were challenged to showcase their knowledge, creativity, quick thinking, and adaptability in using AI through prompt engineering. Ms. Jasmine Claire confidently took on the challenge and demonstrated that creativity, critical thinking, and technology can come together to achieve excellence.

August 18, 2026 | The 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗼𝗿𝘂𝗺 had the opportunity to attend 𝙇𝘼𝙈𝘼𝙉𝙊𝙆: 𝘽𝙀𝙏𝙒𝙀𝙀𝙉 𝙒𝙊𝙍𝙇𝘿𝙎 - 𝙀𝙭𝙥𝙡𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖 𝙇𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙂𝙚𝙤𝙘𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙖𝙡 𝙇𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙨𝙘𝙖𝙥𝙚, a public lecture held at the 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘂𝗺 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 - 𝗕𝗼𝗵𝗼𝗹 under the PAGBULIG Project of the Lamanok Heritage Management Initiative (LaHMI).

The lecture offered a deeper look into the 𝗟𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗼𝗸 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗲, exploring the interconnectedness of archaeology, geology, ecology, community, memory, and living heritage. It highlighted Lamanok not simply as an archaeological site, but as a living landscape shaped by the enduring relationship between people and place.

Featuring 𝗜𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗡𝗮𝗴𝘆, 𝗣𝗵.𝗗. 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗲𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝘁𝘀𝗲𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗲𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆, 𝗨𝗖𝗟𝗔, the lecture provided valuable perspectives on Lamanok's rock art within the broader Southeast Asian rock art tradition, as well as insights into landscape archaeology and the cultural meanings embedded in rock art.
