In a spirit of compassion and service, the Tagbilaran City “Host” Lions Club conducted a relief assistance distribution for 170 households in Mahanay Island, Getafe, Bohol on December 3, 2025. The activity was carried out in response to the lingering effects of Typhoon Tino, which struck Central Visayas on November 4, 2025 and severely disrupted the fishing activities and daily livelihood of the island’s fisherfolk.

The Tagbilaran City Host Lions Club led by its president, Ammon Denis R. Tirol, actively participated in the bamboo planting activity in Clarin, Bohol today, September 20, 2025 in celebration of the World Bamboo Month. The event was organized in collaboration with the local government unit of Clarin and environmental advocates to promote sustainable practices and raise awareness on the vital role of bamboo in environmental conservation and climate resilience. Club members enthusiastically took part in planting bamboo rhizomes in its designated area. This meaningful activity reaffirmed the club’s commitment to protect the environment and support global efforts towards sustainability. Following the planting activity the club held a luncheon meeting, providing the opportunity for fellowship and reflection on the day’s advocacy. In the meeting, the members discussed the club’s upcoming projects and reinforced their dedication to the Lions’ mission of humanitarian service. Guided by the district’s inspiring motto, “Lead to Serve, Serve to Lead”, the Tagbilaran City Host Lions Club continues to uphold its role as a catalyst for positive change serving both the community and the environment with purpose and passion. This initiative stands as a testament to the enduring Lions motto, “We Serve”.
