🙏 Visita Iglesia – 7 Churches
With my loving daughter
(Mommy rested early for her morning duty the next day)
This Holy Week, we took time to reflect, pray, and journey together—visiting seven churches, each one a reminder of faith, sacrifice, and grace.
After participating in the Seven Last Words, where I was assigned to deliver the third reflection, and my daughter stood in as a proxy for her mommy due to her cough—leading the community prayer—we also attended the Siete Palabras, the Solemn Celebration of the Lord’s Passion, and the Santo Entierro procession.
We then completed our Visita Iglesia by visiting seven churches.
My journey in life has never been separate from my faith. Every struggle, every failure, and every victory has quietly shaped not only who I am—but also why I seek God the way I do.
In making this Visita Iglesia, I did not simply visit seven churches. I chose seven patrons whose lives reflect my own journey—my suffering, my growth, my responsibilities, and my mission.
Each stop became personal. Each prayer became a continuation of my story.
1. St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish - Barangay Dampas, Tagbilaran City, Bohol
We visited St. Ignatius because my life has been filled with difficult decisions—moments where I had to move forward without clear answers. Like him, I learned that life is not just about surviving, but discerning God’s will in every situation.
In my journey—from sickness to leadership, from employment to entrepreneurship—I constantly faced uncertainty. Through St. Ignatius, I am reminded to pause, reflect, and choose with purpose.
2. St. Vincent Ferrer Parish – Barangay Bool, Tagbilaran City, Bohol
We visited St. Vincent Ferrer because my life is a story of falling and rising again. I have faced failures in business, setbacks in plans, and moments of doubt.
Like him, who called people to repentance and renewal, I see in my life the constant need to begin again.
3. Immaculate Conception Parish - Baclayon, Bohol
We visited the Blessed Mother because, in my life, I have learned the value of humility and surrender. There were many things I could not control—my illness, my struggles, and my failures.
Like Mary, I am reminded to trust even when I do not fully understand.
4. Assumption of Our Lady Shrine-Parish – Dauis, Bohol
We visited this patron because my life has been filled with suffering that required hope. From hospital beds to sleepless nights caused by business struggles, I needed something to hold on to.
The Assumption reminds me that suffering is not the end—it leads to something greater.
5. Saint Joseph Cathedral – Tagbilaran City
We visited St. Joseph because I see my life now defined by responsibility—toward my family, my work, and the people I serve.
Like him, I am called not to be loud, but to be faithful.
6. San Antonio de Padua Parish – Barangay Poblacion 3, Tagbilaran City, Bohol
We visited St. Anthony because there were many times in my life when I felt lost—not just materially, but spiritually and directionally.
In business failures, life decisions, and I a moments of doubt, I searched for direction.
7. Saint Jude Thaddeus Parish – Barangay Mansasa, Tagbilaran City, Bohol
We visited St. Jude because my life has known desperate moments—times when nothing seemed to work and everything felt uncertain.
Yet those were also the moments when faith became strongest.
From the moment I first struggled to breathe to the life I now lead as a father, husband, and servant-leader, I see that God has been present in every chapter. And through these patrons, I am reminded: my life is not just meant to succeed—it is meant to serve, to inspire, and to give hope.
And this is the mission I carry forward.
Walking this journey with my daughter made it even more meaningful—sharing prayers, quiet moments, and reflections along the way. Experiences like this remind me that faith is not only taught—it is lived and shared with those we love most.
Thank You, Lord, for guiding us—for keeping us safe on the road, for every prayer whispered in Your presence, and for bringing us home safely.
May this Holy Week renew our hearts, strengthen our faith, and remind us that every journey with You has a purpose.
