BOPE-MPC was organized in the year 1999 by 15 Directors of Bohol Provincial Employees League and was formally registered by the Cooperative Development Authority on June 25 of the same year as an associational, close type, primary Cooperative with members who are exclusively permanent employees of the Provincial Government of Bohol. The Initial Authorized Share Capital was P500,000.00 and Actual
Paid Up Capital of P31,250.00 only. Loan receivables ending during the launching year totals P375,211.36 only. It was in the year 2002 that the Cooperative amended its Articles of Cooperation and increased its Authorized Share Capital to P12,104,000.00 with an Actual Paid Up Share Capital of P756,500.00 only. Savings and Credit Operation started 2008 and on the year ended was able to raise a total of P1,321,158.07. It was on the same year 2008 that BOPE-MPC once again amended its Articles of Cooperation and increasing its Authorized Share Capital to P100,000,000.00 and had actual Paid Up Share Capital of P36,000,000.00 upon date of Amendment. BOPE-MPC is a residential open type cooperative who accepts members that are gainfully employed and residing within the province of Bohol. As of latest report Total number of members is 1,500+.
