๐๏ธ๐ฌ A new discovery that could change the vision of our futureโliterally.
Did you know? Many types of vision loss ๐๏ธis because retinal cells have become damaged or die. But recently, researchers discovered stem-like cells from human eyes that may have the potential to help repair damaged retinal tissue. ๐งฌ
These newly found cells are found in the retina, the light-sensitive layer at the back of the eye responsible for helping us see. What makes this discovery interesting is that these cells show similar characteristics similar to stem cells, which have the ability to develop into different types of cells. ๐งช๐ฉ๐ปโ๐ฌ
In early experiments, these cells ๐งฌ showed promising result in mice ๐, giving scientists hope that they can contribute to treatment for vision loss ๐, Although the findings are promising, research involving their potential use on humans is still ongoing. ๐ง๐ปโโ๏ธโจ
