On July 16, 1949, following Mass, Chiara Lubich experienced a profound mystical transformation. After making a "pact of unity" via the Eucharist with writer and MP Igino Giordani, the two sought to become totally receptive to Christ's action like an "empty chalice." Consequently, their individual identities faded, and they became one Christ, mirroring Saint Paul's declaration:

"It is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me."

Transformed into Jesus, Chiara could no longer address Him from the outside. Instead, prompted by the Holy Spirit, she prayed Jesus' own words, "Abba, Father," entering a golden, fiery, and infinite cosmic abyss representing the bosom of the Father.

While this encounter matches the depth of traditional mystical experiences, it is uniquely distinguished by its collective, ecclesial dimension. This unitive grace quickly expanded beyond Chiara and Giordani to encompass an entire group.

We believe we could transform the world not through power or wealth, but through love, unity, and by living the Gospel in every moment of our lives.

It reminds us of our roots, changing the world starts with a decision: to love others as ourselves, to build bridges instead of walls, and to make God’s love visible wherever we are.

Chiara always taught us: 'Put the Gospel into life, and life into the Gospel.' That is our call. To change the world, one act of love at a time, right where we stand.
This is our revolution. The Revolution of Love..
