The Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) ng Barangay Buenaflor officials recently participated in a transformative Training Workshop on Business Correspondence Writing and Records Management, combined with a Legislative 101 session, held at Monte Vicenteau Resort in Brgy. New Passi, Tacurong City, on March 18-19, 2026. This workshop provided the SK officials with essential skills in drafting formal correspondence and managing records effectively, critical components of their roles as youth leaders. Engaging with experts and peers, participants delved into the nuances of business writing, learning to create clear and concise communication that enhances transparency and accountability within their projects. The Legislative 101 segment equipped them with a foundational understanding of local governance, enabling them to navigate the legislative processes more effectively.

The insights gained from this workshop are poised to significantly impact the operations of SK Buenaflor. The officials are now better prepared to document their initiatives, ensuring that all projects are not only well-planned but also properly recorded for future reference. The Comelec sa Barangay program initiated by the Sangguniang Kabataan ng Barangay Buenaflor emerged as a significant event, successfully drawing the youth's attention to the importance of their participation in the upcoming Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (BSK) elections. Despite the clash with class schedules, many students prioritized attending the program, demonstrating their commitment to civic engagement and the electoral process. The event provided a platform for young voters to learn about their rights and responsibilities, highlighting the crucial role they play in shaping local governance. Atty. Dindo Epino, Election Officer IV, served as the guest speaker, effectively conveying the message that every vote counts and that the youth's voices are essential in influencing the future of their community.

Atty. Epino emphasized the transformative power of voting, encouraging attendees to view it not merely as a duty but as an opportunity to advocate for issues that matter to them. His insights resonated deeply with the participants, many of whom expressed newfound motivation to engage in the electoral process. By dedicating their time to attend this important program, the youth of Barangay Buenaflor showcased their determination to take an active role in democracy, underscoring the belief that their collective actions can drive meaningful change. In a commendable effort to support the educational needs of the youth, the Sangguniang Kabataan ng Barangay Buenaflor, led by Hon. Jessriel Franch B. Ariz, has released the educational assistance to all qualified students of Abang Suizo Integrated School. This initiative aims to alleviate the financial burdens associated with school obligations for the school year 2025-2026, ensuring that each student has the necessary resources to thrive academically. By providing this support, the Sangguniang Kabataan is reaffirming its commitment to fostering a conducive learning environment for the community’s youth.

The educational assistance program is designed to reach students residing in Barangay Buenaflor, empowering them to focus on their studies without the stress of financial constraints. This initiative not only aims to enhance educational outcomes but also strengthens community ties as it encourages active participation from local leaders and families. The Youth Camp 2025, organized by the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Buenaflor on December 26-27, 2025, was a vibrant gathering aimed at fostering camaraderie and personal growth among the youth. The event kicked off with engaging parlor games that encouraged teamwork and friendly competition, setting a lively tone for the two-day camp. Participants enjoyed a variety of games that not only entertained but also promoted social interaction, allowing them to bond and create lasting memories.

Following the games, 2LT EG Boy F. Dabuan, PA delivered an inspiring leadership and life talk, focusing on the importance of resilience, responsibility, and community involvement. This session was designed to empower the youth, encouraging them to embrace their potential as future leaders. The camp continued with a reflective recollection, providing participants a moment for introspection and personal growth. To close the event, a movie marathon brought everyone together for a relaxed evening filled with laughter and entertainment, reinforcing the friendships formed over the two days.

In a proactive effort to enhance the organization and accessibility of health records, the Sangguniang Kabataan officials of Barangay Buenaflor have donated a steel cabinet to the Barangay Health Office specifically for the files of adolescents. This initiative, driven by a request from the barangay health officer, aims to ensure that vital health information is securely stored and easily retrievable, ultimately improving the efficiency of health services provided to the youth in the community. By addressing this need, the officials demonstrate their commitment to supporting adolescent health and well-being in Barangay Buenaflor.

Today, December 26, 2025, the barangay health office received the said project from the Sangguniang Kabataan council of Buenaflor.

The Sangguniang Kabataan officials of Barangay Buenaflor headed by Hon. Jessriel Franch B. This effort aims to provide these students with essential resources, such as educational materials and access to learning opportunities, enabling them to continue their education and develop valuable skills. By fostering a supportive environment, the initiative not only empowers the youth but also strengthens the community, demonstrating a collective commitment to education and social development.
