A powerful Magnitude 7.8 earthquake has struck off the coast of Sarangani, heavily impacting SOCCSKSARGEN, Davao Region, and neighboring areas across Southern Mindanao. Widespread structural damage, power outages, and immediate displacements have been reported, particularly in General Santos City, Sarangani, and South Cotabato.

In times of great adversity, JCI Philippines does not stand on the sidelines. We step up.

JCI Tacurong Kampilan 2026 Local Organization Executive Secretary Dos Abiel Dacanay Bumatay successfully completed the 3-day Writeshop on the Formulation of the Local Youth Development Plan (LYDP) 2027–2029. Attended by members of the Tacurong City Youth Development Council and the Sangguniang Kabataan, the event was held on May 19–21, 2026, at The Palm Pavilion, Barangay Calean, Tacurong City.

This writeshop aims to align local youth initiatives with the Philippine Youth Development Plan, paving the way for well-prepared Programs, Projects, and Activities (PPAs) over the next three years.
