May 28, 2026 from 8:30AM to 3:00PM at PRC Leyte Blood Center.

He would always greet you with the warmest smile and utter his famous line of "Ano na???" whenever someone approaches him. This gesture alone speaks for his openness in reaching out to others.

Dr. Edward Y. Chua, Chairman of the Board of Directors of PHILIPPINE RED CROSS Leyte Chapter, is more of a public figure. His genuine and unselfish character shows how much he loved serving others, the Red Cross way. Impressive are his energy, enthusiasm and memory, even beyond the call of duty. The leadership he brought forward, paved a solidarity and dynamism within the Board of Directors. The plans under his flagship will endure and will be carried on, under his honor. The famous "Heart for Life" drive will forever be etched in the hearts and minds of many.

Chairman Edward is more like a Father to us and we would always cherish those moments where he would inject valuable life's lessons and practical work ethics that became a beacon of vigor and strength, for us to carry forward the tools to meet the challenges and staying relevant into the future. Lucky are those who have known, worked and witnessed the life of Chairman Edward.

Our deepest sympathies and condolences to the family and we would like to thank Maam Lisa, his children and grandkids, for sharing to us Chairman Edward's precious time, initiatives, talents and resources, a meaningful one to help our suffering Humanity.

Together with the PRC's top management, Board of Directors, Staff and volunteers, we bid you farewell. We are most certain that you will be welcomed in paradise by our Creator. Your legacy will live on... and will live forever. Rest in peace, Sir Edward...🙏🙏🙏

To our valued community in Leyte,

Please be informed of the updated maximum blood service fees, effective April 5, 2026, in accordance with DOH Administrative Order No. 2026-0003.

While blood is donated voluntarily, these processing fees allow us to:

𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆: Cover rigorous screening and laboratory testing for infectious diseases.

𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁: Sustain proper storage, refrigeration, and specialized collection equipment.

𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: Ensure that life-saving blood products are readily available for patients in need.

We remain committed to transparency—there are strictly no hidden charges beyond these rates. Thank you for your continued support in helping us provide safe and quality blood services for all.
