The Philippine Red Cross – Leyte Chapter, Safety Services is now accepting participants for our August First Aid Training courses.

Occupational First Aid Training
Training Fee: PHP 2,000.00
Schedules: August 4–5, 2026 and
August 18–19, 2026

Standard First Aid Training
Training Fee: PHP 2,500.00
Schedules: August 11–14, 2026 and
August 25–28, 2026

𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲: PRC Training Center, Corner M.H. Del Pilar Extension, Magsaysay Boulevard. All sessions run daily from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Participants must wear a shirt, long pants, and closed shoes. To ensure quality instruction, 𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝟯𝟬 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 on a first-come, first-served basis.

A day dedicated to promoting lifesaving skills and raising awareness on the importance of 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙞𝙤𝙥𝙪𝙡𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙪𝙨𝙘𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 (𝘾𝙋𝙍). Learning CPR equips ordinary individuals with the knowledge and skill to respond during emergencies, giving someone the chance to survive until professional help arrives.

𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙘𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙞𝙨 𝙊𝙋𝙀𝙉 𝙏𝙊 𝙀𝙑𝙀𝙍𝙔𝙊𝙉𝙀 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙉𝙊 𝙍𝙀𝙂𝙄𝙎𝙏𝙍𝘼𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙉 𝙁𝙀𝙀 𝙞𝙨 𝙧𝙚𝙦𝙪𝙞𝙧𝙚𝙙. Everyone is welcome to join us in promoting a culture of preparedness and lifesaving.

𝗣𝗥𝗖 𝗟𝗲𝘆𝘁𝗲 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝟯𝟬𝟬 𝗦𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆

As part of the observance of National Disaster Resilience Month 2026, the Philippine Red Cross Leyte Chapter planted over 300 seedlings in Barangay Camansihay, Tacloban City through 143LUNTIAN, a nationwide tree growing initiative.

The activity gathered over 80 Philippine Red Cross and Red Cross Youth volunteers, together with Red Cross Youth Councils under the Philippine Red Cross Leyte Chapter, PRC Leyte Chapter staff, and representatives from the DENR CENRO, in support of the nationwide initiative.

The tree growing activity is one of the Philippine Red Cross' efforts in promoting environmental protection and disaster resilience through volunteer action.

Philippine Red Cross Leyte Chapter Staff and Volunteers rushed to the scene of an Active Shooter Incident today at San Jose National High School. The team assisted fleeing students and parents from the scene and immediately catered to minor injuries. The team also provided free calls and Psychological First Aid to traumatized individuals and reassured them of their safety. Our deepest sympathies and prayers of consolation to all the families affected by this unforeseen incident.
