Through the collaborative efforts of IVCF Leyte, RTG-Espasyo and RTG-TEACH Palanog, the ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐๐ฌ๐ญ ๐๐ฌ๐ข๐๐ง ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐๐ฎ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐จ๐ซ๐ญ (๐๐๐๐๐) ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฑ ๐๐ผ ๐๐ฟ๐ผ๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ 2026 - ๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐จ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฐ ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ง๐ญ๐๐๐ซ๐ฌ ๐๐๐ฉ๐๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐ซ๐๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ was succesfully held at Tacloban Bible Community (TBC) on June 20, 2026.
Anchored on the theme "๐๐ผ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ผ๐ฑ. ๐๐ผ๐๐ฒ ๐ฃ๐ฒ๐ผ๐ฝ๐น๐ฒ" which serves as the philosophical foundation of the Read to Grow program, the training-workshop was aimed to deepen the understanding of the RTG principles, mission, and vision, along with the framework that would guide the volunteers in preparing session materials.
Out of 36 confirmed participants, 28 active RTG volunteers - 9 from RTG TEACH Palanog, 5 from RTG Espasyo, 9 from IVCF, 3 from Samaritana Ministries, 2 from Samar and 2 from TBC, successfully completed the said capability training workshop.
One the highlights of the workshop was the discussion of the RTG GRACE Framework, introduced and discussed by Ma'am Belinda R. Basas. This framework represents the backbone of creating RTG session, and activity plans that would help RTG volunteers. Together with other RTG coordinators - Lezandro Nonesco, and Allan Paul COrdero of RTG Espasyo and TEACH Palanog, respectively, the RTG Workshop 2026 was held and facilitated successfully.
Among the participants, Rebecca R. Angeles, an aspiring RTG volunteer from Katig Missions Inc, Dulag Leyte, shared in her testimony that one of the important foundations of education is literacy, and helping children learn to read effectively opens doors to lifelong learning and growth. She was also appreciative of the principles and strategies of the Read to Grow Program as a faith based literacy project.

Angeles also expressed her strong desire to implement the RTG program to help children become confident readers and faithful individuals who reflect Christ in their words and actions.
Meanwhile, president of Espasyo and RTG volunteer, Renlee M. Tizon, shared his biggest takeaway from the workshop. According to him, his highlight of the workshop was the crafting of the RTG materials using the GRACE Framework as well as the importance of designing and developing materials using a structured approach. For him the experience was eye-opening and inspiring.

Jovy Ann Camino, a science education student, IVCF and RTG Volunteer at Espasyo shared the same remarks and appreciation on the GRACE Framework to be used in teaching the RTG Way. She emphasized the significance of the utilization of AI as a support in creating RTG reading and learning materials. Camino also shared how grateful she was for the opportunity to join the said workshop.

Likewise, Kim Lazarte, education student, president of IVCF Tanauan and RTG Espasyo Volunteer, expressed that the RTG Workshop inspired him to do better as a volunteer.

In general, the participants have shown positive impression and feedback on the GRACE Framework and on the RTG Worskhop as a whole.
