🌱✨ LOOK | EcoKalikhasan: Garden Art from the Heart ✨🌱

Held last August 30, 2025 at V&G National High School, the EcoKalikhasan: Garden Art from the Heart served as a hands-on learning experience for the Grades 7-10 students of V&G NHS. It empowered our youth with practical skills in sustainable living by transforming recycled plastic bottles and other readily available materials into eco-friendly garden decorations. Beyond that, it sought to beautify the school garden, with materials and equipment funded by the SK Council of Brgy. 109-A and procured through the support of JJC Waraynon.

This meaningful activity was made possible through the collaboration of the SK Council of Brgy. 109-A and JJC Waraynon, with the support of their representatives:

✨ LOOK | The Sangguniang Kabataan Council of Brgy. 109-A successfully conducted the 1st Katipunan ng Kabataan (KK) Assembly and celebrated the Linggo ng Kabataan 2025 last August 23, 2025, held at the Multipurpose Building, St. Paul St., V&G Subd., Brgy. 109-A, Tacloban City.

📊 During the KK Assembly, SK Chairperson Hon. Maxinne Allyssa C. Roseño presented the Accomplishment Report of SK Brgy. 109-A (January–August 2025) and shared the upcoming projects and activities based on the Annual Budget (C.Y. 2025). Participants also received school supplies, while fun prizes such as tote bags, raincoats, and umbrellas were given away through an interactive icebreaker game.

⚽ As part of the Linggo ng Kabataan 2025, with the theme “Local Youth Actions for the SDGs and Beyond”, the SK invited Coach Patrina "Patty" Kaye Caceres (Patrina Kaye Ceres), an Accredited Coach of Coaches Across Continents, to lead an exciting futsal session on Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH). This dynamic activity proved how sports can be a powerful tool for learning and advocacy.

🎉 The celebration continued with Laro ng Lahi games—sack race, paper fish race, and tomato relay—led by Hon. Cherry Joy Y. Jara and Hon. Deborah Edith R. Gonzaga. To make the day even more memorable, participants also received snack packs, tumblers, and notebooks.

💡 Truly, the event was not only a showcase of fun and tradition, but also a testament to the continued development of our community’s youth — proving that youthful energy can be both celebratory and purposeful! 🌟
