Last February 23 & 24, 2026, a total of 208 students from Ridge View Park Integrated School of Barangay Cabalawan, Tacloban City participated in and listened to our Child Protection Advocacy. We are grateful for the opportunity to share important knowledge and raise awareness about protecting every childโ€™s rights and well-being.

In line with the 33rd National Childrenโ€™s Month celebration with the theme โ€œOSAECโ€“CSAEM Wakasan: Kaligtasan at Karapatan ng Bata, Ipaglaban,โ€ we partnered with the City Social Welfare and Development Office under the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Program to conduct a Child Protection Training for Child Development Workers.

During the session, participants deepened their understanding of child protection, including how to properly respond when a child discloses abuse or any form of harm.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to ECCD Focal, Maโ€™am Marlyn Dugos, our dedicated Child Development Workers, and ICOC Tacloban for their unwavering support in making this initiative possible. Together, we continue to build communities where every child is valued, protected, and supported.

In celebration of Childrenโ€™s Month, our VCYDP beneficiaries learned about OSAEC and important ways to stay safe online. Also, our NSFI college scholars volunteered to help facilitate the activity โ€” preparing goods and snacks, and assisting the children during group sessions to ensure that they will enjoy and learn.

After the program, the monthly support for the children was released. On the same day, our college scholars also had their monthly check-ins and received their support.

Together, we continue to champion every childโ€™s safety, rights, and well-being โ€” both online and offline. ๐Ÿ’™โœจ

This October, our five dedicated scholars received their monthly allowance and spent time serving others by helping children with their school projects. ๐Ÿ’›

In celebration of Mental Health Awareness Month, they also participated a reflective psychosocial activity where they looked back on their younger selves and appreciated how far theyโ€™ve come.
