TURNOVER OF HANDHELD METAL DETECTORS

In support of safer and more secure learning environments, the United Architects of the Philippines – Leyte Chapter (UAP Leyte Chapter) conducted another turnover of handheld metal detectors to Sagkahan National High School, Tacloban City National High School, and Libertad National High School on August 14, 2026.

This initiative forms part of the Chapter’s continuing commitment to supporting our schools and communities, particularly by providing additional resources that may help strengthen safety and security measures within school premises.

As architects and members of the community, we believe that creating a safe environment is an essential part of building spaces where students can learn, grow, and thrive.

UAP Leyte Chapter remains committed to extending support where it is most needed and to contributing, in our own way, toward safer and more resilient communities.

A NIGHT OF CONNECTIONS, CELEBRATION, AND APPRECIATION! 🏗️✨

The United Architects of the Philippines – Leyte Chapter extends its appreciation to CitiHardware Palo and CitiHardware Tacloban for hosting the Builders Night Celebration on August 11, 2026, at CitiHardware Palo.

It was an evening filled with meaningful conversations, new connections, camaraderie, and celebration among architects, engineers, contractors, and industry partners. Events like these remind us of the importance of building not only structures, but also strong relationships within the construction and design community.

Adding to the excitement, several members of the UAP Leyte Chapter also took home prizes during the celebration! 🎉🏆 Congratulations to all our lucky winners!

🌱 ECO-GREEN CR: SUSTAINABILITY PROJECT 🌱

The United Architects of the Philippines – Leyte Chapter, in partnership with Leyte National High School, continues its commitment to promoting sustainable, inclusive, and community-centered initiatives through the ECO-GREEN CR: Sustainability Project.

As part of the continuing development of this initiative, an Update and Partner’s Coordination Meeting will be held to discuss project developments, strengthen collaboration among partners, and coordinate the next steps toward creating more sustainable and dignified community facilities.

UAP Leyte Chapter joins the United Architects of the Philippines in mourning the passing of Ar. Ramon L. Teruel, FUAP, Past President of UAP Iloilo Chapter.

We extend our deepest sympathies and prayers to his bereaved family, friends, colleagues, and the entire UAP Iloilo Chapter during this time of grief.

May his years of service, contributions to the architectural profession, and lasting legacy continue to inspire the generations of architects who follow.

ONE CHAPTER. ONE VISION. ONE ARCHITECTURE.

The United Architects of the Philippines – Leyte Chapter successfully held its 2nd Chapter Board Meeting for FY 2026–2027 on August 7, 2026, at Avenue Hotel, Tacloban City.

The meeting brought together the Chapter Board to discuss key matters, align plans, and set the direction for the activities and initiatives that will shape another meaningful year of service to our members, the profession, and the community.

A Certificate of Appreciation was presented to Sir Jerome Casilan, representative of Davies Paint Inc., in recognition of their invaluable support to the UAP Leyte Chapter, echoing his words, “We will just help each other,” as a testament to the spirit of partnership and mutual support.

Here’s to a productive year ahead—stronger partnerships, purposeful service, and one united Leyte Chapter.
