The LNU Student Leadersโ Congress: A Parliamentary Session and Legislative Summit 2026 held on February 20, 2026, at the HRDC Multi-Purpose Hall was a meaningful and productive gathering of student leaders grouped into different commissions,
Seven officers of LNU-Interact SocietyโKeen Aldrix Nicart, Kim Villamor, Nel Gabriel Capablanca, Melrex Baldos, Darryl Matthew Ezra Holanda, Christele Jardin, and Whevyn Cajudoโactively contributed as part of Commission 7, with other student leaders across the university to discuss pressing concerns and propose resolutions aimed at improving student welfare.
One of the highlights of the congress was the opportunity given to the student leaders to deliver privilege speeches. These speeches allowed student leaders to express their thoughts, raise important issues, and bring attention to matters that affect the student community. It was a moment where voices were heard, and perspectives were shared with sincerity and purpose.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Keen Aldrix Nicart for receiving as one of the Best Legislator Award, as he presented the proposed resolution with clarity and insight.
The LNU-Interact Society also proudly celebrated the approval of their proposed measure in Commission 7. Joint Resolution No. 2026-02-002, entitled โA Joint Resolution Proposing the Implementation of an Open and Accessible Venue Reservation for Students, Faculty, and Administration in Leyte Normal University,โ marks a meaningful step toward a more inclusive and organized venue reservation system within the university for organization activities.
Indeed, the Student Leadersโ Congress serves as a testament to the power of unity, cooperation, and student leadership in building a better academic environment for all.
